Envelope Punch Board hexagon box CTC#19 and FMS175

Very quick post today as life has been disrupted her for the last week after Cyclone Marcia swept through our town. We were so fortunate not to have any major damage, but it has been very hot without power for 6 days. CTC asks us to use new buttons and ribbon from the Sale-a-Bration catalogue, and I used the FMS sketch as the inspiration for the gift tags to go with the gift boxes, although I flipped it upside down. CTC#19 FMS #175 using You Brighten my Day EDITED on 13/03 EDITED 01/03 I have had several requests for the instructions on how to make this box. I wish I could say I designed it but I can't take that credit. I found the inspiration on Pinterest (source of many wasted moments but masses of inspiration!) and I would like to thank the lovely Debbie Henderson who put together a tutorial. you can see it here - I do have lots of great pins of tutorials etc and you can follow me on Pinterest, and I also have a Facebook page -Lillybet's Papers where I ...

Sheltering Tree , two pink options

I love tree stamps and seem unable to resist a new one!!! So when the me Sheltering Tree stamp set appeared in the new catalogue it was instantly on my wish list. It has taken me longer than I thought it would to get some use out of it and this one is using  Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo and Crushed Cantaloupe.  With the two little pink polka dot hearts I am entering it in the Just Add Ink Challenge#250 - well that was the plan but I missed the deadline! No matter it is still a cute card. The button and orange ribbon is from one of the Sale-a Bration Pack s you can choose. My second Sheltering Tree card is a special birthday card for a work colleague who is a fabulous triathlete. The little bike is just for her! Melon mambo, Little leaves Sizzlits in Pear Pizzaz, Perfectly Preserved flower, Strawberry Slush twin e, and a few trinkets from my stash.  thanks for looking, Liz Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Quick Hello for CTC#18

This is super quick post just to enter the challenge at Caseing the Catty #18 inspired from images in pages 10-17 of the occasions catalogue, the Birthday section. I was inspired by one of the cards in the kit on page 16 from the Hooray it's your day card kit . I have had the stiped scallops thinlits for a while and not been sure of how to use it, so it was good to get some ideas from the pictures. Rolled paper roses Frames

Two new Frames for the Handmade Expo Markets this weekend. These are hand rolled vanilla paper roses, with newsprint DSP in the red version. Sentiment is from Painted Petals, making the paper roses is made easier using the Spiral Flower Die thanks for looking. Of course these can be mDe to order, liz

Valentine's influence for CTC# 17

The real Challenge  for me this week is to get everything done before The Handmade Markets on Saturday here in Rockhampton. But in the midst of making heaps of cards and tags and bits and pieces I have been inspired by CASEing The Catty Challenge#17 to use a prompt from  the Valentine's section of the new Occasions Catalogue on pages 4-9. I don't often do a clean and simple style but I was taken with the lovely card on page 9, and I have used the colour combo from the Stacked With Love DSP - Black, Calypso Coral, Crisp Cantaloupe and Real Red.  I don't own the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits ( well not yet)  with the row of hearts, but I do have the Itty Bitty Punch Pack which I use ALL the time. So I punched out a row of hearts first and place some paper behind these, then I stamped and punched out lots more hearts using Pictogram Punches , and stuck these on to match the first row. To get a little touch of gold showing through the real red hearts I used a very sm...

CTC#16 using NEW DSP - Irresistibly Yours

The new Catalogue has such lovely products, and I am totally loving the Irresisitbly Yours DSP. - one of the Sale-A-Bration  products free with Purchases over $90. So I have chosen to use it for this weeks CASEing the Catty challenge #16. Bronwyn has such a beautiful card and I only just learned that you can stamp on the DSP before sponging or misting and it gives another layer to the paper. I saw this first by Carolyn Lindenmeyer whose blog is Carolyn's Card Creations . There is a video link which demonstrates this , and I too must thank  Linda Heller  (When the rubber Hits the Road)  for this idea I saw on her blog. Well of course I couldn't make only one card, but I am entering this first one into the Challenge. I cut the DSP to 12x24 cm since I am quite fond of square cards. I stamped the Dictionary Stamp as the background, then when I wiped off the Soft Suede Ink it filled in the background colour. To brighten it I then sponged Wisteria Wonder around ...

JAI#248 and SSSC254, More Butterlfy Thinlits Birthday cards

I Love the colour combination at JAI this week but of course I couldn't only make one card! The Butterfly Thinlits are easy to use and I have been playing with lots of samples for my upcoming class this weekend. The Leaves were heat embossed with clear embossing powder and I cut out one extra leaf stem to go in the bouquet of flowers. The flowers are Naturals White water coloured with Rich Razzleberry ink with a  pearl centre, and the Sahara Sand flowers are sponged with Pool Party ink. The Sahara Sand Seam Binding make a lovely soft bow and the Crystal Buttons are always gorgeous. I have used Kinda Eclectic, Bitty Banners and French Foliage stamp sets, though the inside Sentiment is from a very old Stampin' Up set which I bought on ebay many years ago - before I was truly a SU convert - and I have no idea of the name or age of that set. (If you know I would love to learn it - the set included a group of children chasing butterflies with a net)  The messa...
