Joy Fold Cards with NEW beautiful papers. Sneak Peak, Florals in Bloom

What to do when you have loads of pretty paper? - Make cards that show it off, of course! This is a selection of Joy Fold cards which I made recently for stamping friends, just to say "Happy New Catalogue". I love how bright and cheerful they look. The floral pieces and some of the patterns are from the new Florals in Bloom DSP which will be available on the 6th of May (Yay!) Some of the other decorative patterns are from sets in my stash. The Unbounded Beauty DSP is carrying over into the new catalogue which is great because it has so many versatile patterns which coordinate with so many other different papers. It's wonderful that several paper packs are continuing on, who doesn't love good value products? I really love this new Sentiment Set too - Mixed Labels , Such a gorgeous font and beautiful sayings. Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
