Season's Blessings using the colours at Colour INKspiration #105

I am loving the images in the beautiful Season's Blessings Bundle, so it was a good colour combination to use with this set.  For this version I used the beautiful String Basket die, what a lovely effect. I decorated the inside with some leftover strips which are retired but match the colour theme- it's not often we have DSP which uses vanilla rather than white. I love to use ribbon but sometimes it's a bit bulky so I like to cut the new in colour woven ribbon in half and get the effect of using two strips of narrow trim. And another handy tip for these flowers uses the strawberry builder punch to create small flowers which I have stamped using the large flower stamp from this set. I love these. Thankyou Stampin Up for so many versatile products. I have several other samples using this set posted previously here and here Enjoyed this post? Showcasing a set of cards using a Sentiment Only Stampset

I love DSP, all the beautiful patterns that are available make it hard to choose where to start when creating cards.  So choose a Sentiment set and let the paper be the hero of the card. At a recent class all participants received the Sunny Sentiments stamp set and so I created a few sets to display how versatile it can be. It's a great set because it covers Birthday, Hello, thinking of you, and thankyou . We all love receiving some handmade thoughts in the post and this is a wonderful set to share that joy. In the class we created a box like this one which holds 4 cards and envelopes and fits perfectly into Stampin' Up!'s cello bags .  This set uses the gorgeous In Symmetry paper and I used the Basic Borders edgelits dies to cut a fancy border from the DSP and then added the sentiments, 4 cards, 4 different sentiments. The little flowers are punched using the fabulous strawberry punch. Here's 2 of the cards with an angled border on the DSP Here's the box and two ca...

JAI#542 Sweet Birthday Butterfly

I love playing along with Just Add Ink- there is such variety in their challenges and this week is inspiration from a picture. This card is similar to one I shared recently using the gorgeous flowers from the Strawberry Punch. I added in some vellum and acetate elements that were sitting on my desk, but I love the addition of the pink butterfly - created with thinlits from the new Butterfly Gala suite which will be available March 2nd, they are so fine and intricate- delicate like the real thing! You can see a little more detail on the wings from this angle for detail on how to create the flowers check out this post Thanks so much for stopping by today,  I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper [ 154288 ] $20.00 Gray Granite A4 Cardstock [ 147008 ] $15.25 Sweet Strawberry Bundle [ 156214 ] $55.75 ...

Sweet Strawberry Punch creates beautiful shaped flowers.

It's been a little while since SU had a mini flower punch so I am so pleased to see one incorporated into the Strawberry Builder Punch.  It is a lovely shape and t coordinates with the flower in the Sweet Strawberry stampset but has multiple uses with plain or printed card or paper. Playing with new products is always fun, and I like to try and create some cards a little different from the suite- different colours and papers and uses. I used some of the gorgeous DSP from the Sand and Seas suite and my favourite card base Sahara Sand. I initially stamped the card base and most of the photos are of that version but in the end I decided it was a bit busy so I cut up the first version and remade it with a plain base -as above. The strawberry builder punch has the super cute little flower. The Calyx stamp can be snipped to create 2 sets of 2 leaves as well. You can see how I've done that in the photo below. It is easy to shape your flat punched paper flowers and give them more dimens...
