Casing the CAtty with a Trio os Watercolour Butterflies -SUO#170

I'm preparing for a card buffet this weekend as well as a technique class - it's going to be a full day of stamping and I'm quite excited! One of the best things about the catalogue is that it contains so many brilliant samples to inspire us, so this is a direct CASE from the annual catalogue on page 72. I have 20 kits of 2 cards each of this design prepared and ready to go for Sunday. (I have a choice of 10 kits, participants choose 4) I have done the watercolour "Smoosh" technique for the card front, and used the retired Naturals White for the card base. I love the softness of the colours - Pool Party has to be one of the best colours SU has ever invented! The sentiment is from Designer Tee - one of the cute Sale A Bration sets which won't be around for much longer! The challenge at Stampin Up Only this week is Things That Fly so I think this will fit nicely. Thanks for looking, and remember, "don't just post online, post som

CTC#119 towards the end of Sale a Bration for 2017

Welcome back to another week using the Catalogue as inspiration for our projects. This week we are using the last pages of the Sale A Bration Catalogue. It will be so sad to see the end of March and these great products. You still have a few weeks to get your free product with purchase. I have used the layout of the card in the middle of our title photo this week, on page 16 of the SAB Brochure. I was playing with the Lift Me Up Bundle and had a lovely time making a soft, feminine version after all the bold strong colours I have been using for the balloons in other cards. I heat embossed one of the balloons with the fabulous copper and simply sponged over the top. The second ballon is simply stamped rather than embossed. Quite by accident the colours are the same as the palette for this weeks Colour INKspiration challenge. Be sure

CI05 A Pastel Palette for a Globe

Welcome back for another week at Colour INKspiration with this gorgeous Pastel Palette. I do love Soft Sky and Sahara Sand but I'm going to have to be honest ..... I've never really loved Blushing Bride (I'm in a minority here!) - so it was easy for me to start with the blue and brown and add the pink as an accent. I watercoloured the background then heat embossed the leaf wreath from "Places You'll Go" in copper and coloured the leaves with the Soft Sky Marker. I stitched a short piece of Soft Sky Seam Binding in place and layered up a little love note from the Lift Me Up set, some copper metallic thread and some blushing Bride Glimmer Paper which I cut using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. The little enamel dots are from the retired subtles set but I added a little sparkle with some wink of stella on each of them. I love the depth of colour you can get using the ink neat rather than from the foam pad. . I was quite happy with the overal
