 I love the decorative masks, and currently there are 3 sets availalbe. The Basic Patterns have been around for a while now and this stylised leaf pattern is so versatile. Handy Tip: - you can sponge directly onto patterned DSP, creating a beautiful layer of texture and interest.  I also love doing this with embossing paste. Today's card uses the sketch layout from GDP#334, but turns out I missed the deadline- no matter. A quick card to put together. The hand penned bundle is compatible with the Mini Stampin Cut and Emboss machine which is on sale at 20% off this month. It is not one of the bundles on sale but works so well with this mighty tool. The challenge this week at GDP is to Case the Designer Kayla McCreadie. She has a beautiful clean style and this card has a lovely cluster of elements and plenty of texture.  I have been busy creating with a new set coming in January called "Blessings of Home"- the stampset, and "Flowers of Home" - the coordinating dies .You can see more samples loaded in recent days. Included in the dies is a garland of flowers, some small sprays of blossoms and leaves, and some tiny flowers. I watercoloured a few pieces of the Fluid 100 paper  - one in variegated greens and one in pinks and then cut out a whole bunch of pieces which will make card assembly a little faster. I tend to create a little mood board when I do this so that I can be easily inspired. I will have a few more samples coming using other pieces from this little stash. I have recently made an accordion album as a farewell gift and had lots of scraps left over- perfect for both the Just Add Ink#559 and the GDP#296 challenges this week. I don't like throwing away beautiful paper and this is a perfect way to utilise and show off all those gorgeous patterns. I  adhere all the strips to a base piece of scrap card then trim it to size and for added depth run it through an embossing folder which helps to keep the small pieces bonded to the base, and makes it feel like it is supposed to be a single element. The Stitched Greenery die is a new toy and I love it.  The sentiment was from my useful box on the desk and the vellum element is from a retired kit, it adds just the right amount of subtleness as a background and makes me feel good for using up leftovers. Do you get the same sense of satisfaction when that happens? Love the silver accent on the vellum and the amazing detail in the stitched leaves. Definitely a quick and easy card (my favourite)...

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. The gorgeous new floral Romance Suite is delightful and I'm amazed at how beautiful the framelits are - I really shouldn't be amazed because all the SU products are such wonderful quality, but there is something extra lovely about this set. I love the detail cutting out the tiny pieces between the sprigs of foliage. Here's the card recipe Heat embossed the image onto watercolour paper with white embossing powder watercoloured using my aquapainter with Granny Apple Green, Garden Green, and Berry Burst inkpads and Fresh Fig Marker for the sprigs  cut a rectangle stitched framelit for a panel of navy from the card sets embossed with polka dot basics. dragging technique with the navy inkpad sentiment and framelit from wood words for the tag remnant of Melon Mambo ribbon and strands from white hemp ribbon I am entering this in the challenge at the Global Design Project #175 and at Stampin' Up!
