Thoughtful Blooms and Twisted Easel Class Card Feb 2020

Last weekend I held a class making some fancy fold cards. The Twisted Easel is a super easy but very effective card and we decorated the front very simply using the Thoughtful Blooms stamp and the Small Bloom Punch- what a brilliant match - hard to go past a stamp and matching punch for easy results. We stamped 6 different colours of flowers, and did 2 different designs. This is the cards all finished. I'll share the dimension for the stand up z fold soon. There are plenty of online tutorials for creating a twisted easel.  I have done these before and the instructions are in this post from February 2016 I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Thoughtful Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set (English) [ 152290 ] $0.00 Small Bloom Punch [ 152316 ] $0.00 Very Vanilla A4 Thick Cardstock [ 144238 ] $14.25

Poppy wedding cards using #72 colour INKspiration colour combo

This week's colour combination is just lovely to play with and after I cut out my full sheet of elements I was able to create a pile of cards. These are a few Wedding cards. Of course it's nice to have a splash of colour on the inside too. I was able to get quite a few elements from my sheet. And finally a card for any occasion. I hope you are inspired to try these colours, they are a lot of fun to use. Post a photo of your creation on our Facebook page . I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz

CI#72 A gorgeous colour combo for watercolouring.

Hello again for another colour challenge with Colour INKspiration. #72 I wasn't sure about these colours but I have to say they have been a wonderful combination to play with.. I started by watercolouring a whole sheet of the brilliant Fluid 100 watercolour paper with the 2 orange tones, and it dried substantially paler than when I first applied the ink.  So soft and pretty, with lots of variations across the sheet. I heat embossed a number of images to fill the sheet- white poppies, and gold pens. The metallic was inspired by all the shimmer in the sequins. Then I cut them all out a set to work decorating a stack of cards. For the Bermuda Bay background I simply used the printed DSP which is one of the free Sale A Bration items available with a $90 purchase. I love the texture and variation in these papers. I stamped over it using Pretty Peacock. Here's my leftover sheet- can you guess which flowers these are?  The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala, the pens and

Busy Bees Buckle Card in Metric. tgifc#252

Today I created a Buckle Card inspired by Julie Davison of Julie's Stampin Spot. She has created a very cute nautical card in imperial measurements and I'll attach the link to her great video tutorial, but I wanted to create one for our Australian Metric Measurements. My variation has an embellishment (the beehive) sitting over/hiding the buckle insert slot. It's a super easy but very effective.  The Belt is a strip which is anchored under the strip of DSP and shaped using the side of the Tailored Tag Punch. The slot is created using the Classic Label Punch. It was so much fun to make I created a second version and colour scheme. The fabulous DSP is free with a qualifying purchase until the end of March and the black and white lends itself to some very striking cards. I am entering these in the challenge at TGIF#252 You can colour the tassels using your Blender Pens to coordinate with everything, here I used Lovely Lipstick.   The inside st

Show Off Your DSP - CASEing Lovely Lou

One of the things about papercrafting is that I've met some amazingly talented people. I've been lucky enough to make some beautiful friends and Lou Kitzelman is one of them. Today I have a card CASEd directly from her clever creation. She calls it her "show off your DSP" card. And like her I have limited time in my busy life, so when someone clever shares their designs which save me time I am very grateful. I was lucky enough to receive one of the Christmas ones last year. Here's my few samples. The first uses some gorgeous floral paper from the Best Dressed Suite and allows you to see both the floral and the geometric patterns, and allowed me to have a floral focal point using the fabulous Small Bloom Punch and the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set. Both of those are Sale a Bration items available until the end of March meaning you can earn them for free with a qualifying purchase. I have a few more samples using these great products here . The second sam

CI#71 Positive Thoughts

Welcome back, colour palette #71 and what gorgeous colours. Highland Heather, Pool Party, Pear Pizazz and Grey Granite. The new year is well under way and summer has been very harsh this year with bushfires and crazy weather. I hope you and your family and friends are safe. With so much tragedy around us there is a definite need for some Positive Thoughts, so it has been nice to play with some cool colours and escape reality for a little while- I really believe craft is good therapy! The gorgeous Maiden Hair Fern image in this set is so delicate. and now that there are dies available with the Coordination Product Release it really is a must have set for me. The feather thinlits cut out both the stamped image and a larger embossed piece, and the little leaves look stunning cut from foil. I spritzed the fern image with water before stamping and ended up with a lovely watercolour background. I didn't want too much of the Highland Heather flower dominating the delicate fern
