CI#72 A gorgeous colour combo for watercolouring.

Hello again for another colour challenge with Colour INKspiration.
#72
I wasn't sure about these colours but I have to say they have been a wonderful combination to play with.. I started by watercolouring a whole sheet of the brilliant Fluid 100 watercolour paper with the 2 orange tones, and it dried substantially paler than when I first applied the ink.
So soft and pretty, with lots of variations across the sheet. I heat embossed a number of images to fill the sheet- white poppies, and gold pens. The metallic was inspired by all the shimmer in the sequins. Then I cut them all out a set to work decorating a stack of cards. For the Bermuda Bay background I simply used the printed DSP which is one of the free Sale A Bration items available with a $90 purchase. I love the texture and variation in these papers. I stamped over it using Pretty Peacock.
Here's my leftover sheet- can you guess which flowers these are?
The sentiment is from Butterfly Gala, the pens and the super cute Paper Binder are from It starts with Art. I do love  a square card, and these will be in Our Shop when it opens again next week. I often emboss the flap of the envelope to finish off the project.
I alos thought the Petal Pink paper from the Parisian collection worked well with these tones.

Don't forget to have a go with these colours and share your photo on our Facebook page.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,

 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
