Lillybet's Papers

I love green so you would think I would have jumped to create this challenge, but like all things lately it is taking me longer to get started! So I'm late again but no matter, I did find some INKspiration and created a basket of flowers using the beautiful Season's Blessings stampset and dies.  I am so sad that this bundle will be retiring at the end of April-   it's so lovely to use and just a little bit different to so many floral sets.  This is the inspiration pic for this challenge Picture credit -  https://westcoastgardens.ca/  So here's my card recipe Watercolour wash with Soft Succulent ink on shimmery white cardstock stamp the leaves in Garden Green and paint over sections with Soft Succulent stamp the flower centres (how cute are they) in garden green stamp the flowers with versamark and clear emboss the let the vanilla flowers show through, then paint them with Wink of Stella cut the basket from silver foil ( retired from the Christmas mini- it's...

I am loving the images in the beautiful Season's Blessings Bundle, so it was a good colour combination to use with this set.  For this version I used the beautiful String Basket die, what a lovely effect. I decorated the inside with some leftover strips which are retired but match the colour theme- it's not often we have DSP which uses vanilla rather than white. I love to use ribbon but sometimes it's a bit bulky so I like to cut the new in colour woven ribbon in half and get the effect of using two strips of narrow trim. And another handy tip for these flowers uses the strawberry builder punch to create small flowers which I have stamped using the large flower stamp from this set. I love these. Thankyou Stampin Up for so many versatile products. I have several other samples using this set posted previously here and here Enjoyed this post?  Season's Blessings has a great Christmas theme with the Poinsettias and I was inspired by the colours in the new Whimsy and Wonder DSP, although I added Melon Mambo as a different pink to offset the Polished Pink. The new Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder will easily be a new favourite background texture folder. To add some Christmas sparkle to the flowers I spritzed them all with alcohol and white shimmer paint- an old trick but so effective. But if you don't have any shimmer paint left then a few coats with your trusty Wink of Stella will also work. Perhaps you can see the texture from the folder better in this angle. I have had quite a lot of fun with this set and you can see loads more samples here  or on my Pinterest board .
