Easter Packaging

These were the gifts I made for each of the ladies attending the Easter card class today. Lovely little packages for a single Easter Egg.  These are not entirely my idea, I have seen quite a few similar designs on Pinterest and the web, not sure where all the originals came from, but I thank those talented ladies for their inspiration. These are a hybrid of several. They start as a single 2" strip cut across the width of an A4 Sheet, scored at 9 and 12 cm then punched each end with the scallop tag punch. The oval frame is embossed and then the matching large oval punch is used to create the windows. ( I tried front window only but the egg sits better with 2 ) There is a little box made to match, sitting inside with a small circle punched out for the egg to sit in - you can see that in the side on shot.  I used the cute little bunny from the 'Baby 'We've Grown' set stamped in Soft Suede and coloured with the watercolour crayons. I used the 2 ovals punched out

Easter blessings and Boxes

Well have finally managed to get some items photographed. I took my inspiration for the colour scheme from the beautiful Watercolour Wonder DSP. I love Island Indigo, Gumball Green and the Smoky slate together. The card is a Z-fold card and I have embossed the Easter Blessings using the Pewter Embossing Powder. The Gumball Green frame is some leftover Christmas Cordinations CS so I was able to sand it after embossing for some more texture. Everything Eleanor provided the swirls and flowers and there is a touch of DSP in there for some more depth. The easter egg box is one we'll be making at this weekend's class and is a piece of Whisper White CS cut to 8.5" x the A4 width, scored at 2,4,6,8" and 2' along the long edge. The circle window is punched using a 11/4" punch and the hole is covered by a small piece of acetate. The cardstock is randomly stamped using Everything Eleanor flowers and the smoky slate swirl before folding, and the closure is a piece

Card making with students to raise funds for Our Rainbow House

Well I haven't posted for a while - have been busy!! This is my second effort with card making as a fundraiser. I really enjoy being able to be creative for a good cause. Last week I had a very enjoyable afternoon at Emmaus College with several yr 10 students who are members of the Justice Action Group ( and a few non students too!). They used stamps, punches, and embossing to create their cards. They made a selection of 4 different cards which they are going to sell at a school stall to raise funds for their charity - Rainbow House, which is a home for orphaned children in Zambia. They were very creative and industrious. I love how everyone creates quite different looks using the same basic elements. I hope they raise lots of money! Thanks to Kym Beattie for organising it all. Flower Shop stamps and coordinating Pansy Punch made it so easy!     You can check out their Facebook page here   Our Rainbow House

Flower Shop frame "Pink Love - cute as a button"

Have been super busy with work lately, but tomorrow is the Rockhampton Handmade Expo markets so I have managed to create a few more frames, and some great retro journals. Pop down if you are in the neighbourhood! This is the same style as the "Delight"   frame, but I went with only Pink tones this time - Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, Strawberry Slush and Pink Pirouette. I also used lots of buttons. The sentiment could be personalised for babies name, date etc. Orders Welcome. Thanks for looking, Liz
