CI#118 Season's Blessings sparkle

I love green so you would think I would have jumped to create this challenge, but like all things lately it is taking me longer to get started! So I'm late again but no matter, I did find some INKspiration and created a basket of flowers using the beautiful Season's Blessings stampset and dies.  I am so sad that this bundle will be retiring at the end of April-   it's so lovely to use and just a little bit different to so many floral sets.  This is the inspiration pic for this challenge Picture credit -  https://westcoastgardens.ca/  So here's my card recipe Watercolour wash with Soft Succulent ink on shimmery white cardstock stamp the leaves in Garden Green and paint over sections with Soft Succulent stamp the flower centres (how cute are they) in garden green stamp the flowers with versamark and clear emboss the let the vanilla flowers show through, then paint them with Wink of Stella cut the basket from silver foil ( retired from the Christmas mini- it's a really

GDP#334 with stencilled background from the Basic Patterns Masks

I love the decorative masks, and currently there are 3 sets availalbe. The Basic Patterns have been around for a while now and this stylised leaf pattern is so versatile. Handy Tip: - you can sponge directly onto patterned DSP, creating a beautiful layer of texture and interest.  I also love doing this with embossing paste. Today's card uses the sketch layout from GDP#334, but turns out I missed the deadline- no matter. A quick card to put together. The hand penned bundle is compatible with the Mini Stampin Cut and Emboss machine which is on sale at 20% off this month. It is not one of the bundles on sale but works so well with this mighty tool. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Basic Pattern Decorative Masks [ 150697 ] $14.00 Plenty Of Patterns Decorative Masks [ 155553 ] $14.00 Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks [ 15814

What's cookin'? Kitchen scene #3 Burleigh Inspired

I love the What's Cookin'? bundle and it is one of the sets on sale for March at 20% discount along with the Mini Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. I have made lots of kitchen scenes with this great set and this one is inspired by the Blue and White China in my kitchen.  ( none of it is authentic Burleigh China but that's ok!)  I wanted to have a blue and white patterned china bowl and was surprised how well the bowl stamped onto some Boho Indigo floral paper. ( This is retired but the principal would work on any small print DSP). I stamped it in Misty Moonlight and heat embossed the bowl with clear powder to add a bit of shine to the bowl. I tried this on a few of the different papers but the blue on blue stamping worked the best. I also used a retired set - Seasoned with Kindness for the potted herbs on the bench, and the little jug is from Welcoming Window. ( this is another bundle which is on sale and is compatible with the Mini Machine )  This is an easel card so it

Stitched Triangles and texture, using the leftovers from Ci#117

So after creating the coloured panels with sponging and decorative masks for CI#117  ( you can see that post here ) I cut a stash of Stitched Triangles and I have finally used the remainder to create another 2 cards. Same, same but different. The first uses another white textured background and the inside is decorated with the leftover snips. And the second has some large triangles also cut from scraps of Bermuda Bay DSP, and a little bit of sponging on the card base. Here's the reminder of what they started as-  it's amazing how crafting can lead from one thing to another. Here's the colour challenge picture again. It's not too late to create with these colours and share on our facebook page. For the month of March the Mini Stampin Cut and Emboss Machine is on sale for 20% discount. The Stitched Triangles dies are all compatible with this great tool. If you would like to get your crafty hands on the Mini Machine I'd be happy to answer any questions.  I hope you

CTC#117 Triangles with stencilled detail.

Welcome back for the latest colour challenge, inspired this week by a great photo of a two Black and Red Broadbills from  https://www.instagram.com/p/CDRMdBHA4i5/ . I knew I wanted to use a tool that I haven't used as much as I thought I would- or as much as I should, and these strong colours seemed just right for a card with some white space around the elements. I used one of my favourite techniques - watercolour painting onto Shimmery White Cardstock. For this project I mixed a small amount of Crushed Curry at one end of each of the Real Red and Bermuda Bay panels. After the water painting dried (For some added depth) I sponged each panel with some of the great pattern elements from the new Decorative Masks from the Jan - June Mini catalogue. a mixture of tone on tone ( ie Bermuda on Bermuda) and some multicoloured panel The Butterflies and Flowers Layering decorative masks  are so easy to use and they are a great new size at 4x6". They are in the Jan -June catalogue. the ot
