Lillybet's Papers

I love the What's Cookin'? bundle and it is one of the sets on sale for March at 20% discount along with the Mini Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine. I have made lots of kitchen scenes with this great set and this one is inspired by the Blue and White China in my kitchen.  ( none of it is authentic Burleigh China but that's ok!)  I wanted to have a blue and white patterned china bowl and was surprised how well the bowl stamped onto some Boho Indigo floral paper. ( This is retired but the principal would work on any small print DSP). I stamped it in Misty Moonlight and heat embossed the bowl with clear powder to add a bit of shine to the bowl. I tried this on a few of the different papers but the blue on blue stamping worked the best. I also used a retired set - Seasoned with Kindness for the potted herbs on the bench, and the little jug is from Welcoming Window.  Yesterday I posted a kitchen scene card and today I have another creation. Once you have all the elements cut it's fun to put them together.  This kitchen has a tiled wall with a glass splashback and timber benches! I cut the bowls using the Perfect Plants dies from some patterned paper. My kitchen has a giant white pot (the same shape as a pot plant pot) which holds all my utensils, so I was inspired by that to have a textured white pot on the bench. The What's Cookin'? stampset and dies make it easy to have lots of fun elements. How cute is the 2021-2022 kitchen set : "What's Cookin'?" ? I think I have bought most cooking sets over the years, (still have most of them) and this one is just as much fun to play with. It can be used for simple cards but this was a very relaxing way to spend an evening, just colouring and cutting and rearranging things on my windowsill.( CASEd from Susan Wong at the Crafty Carrot Collective.) I paired the kitchen set with the Plentiful Plants and Bloom Where You are Planted paper which is the perfect accompaniment. Perhaps this is a little pot of herbs? Inside carries the colours through on a little timber shelf. The Charcuterie Board is adhered flat but everything else is layered up for dimension. So much fun. The timber /woodgrain DSP is from a retired pack but there are plenty similar which you could use.  I have another sample using this set which I will share tomorrow. Here's the products I used. Hello again, back with another colour combination .  Let's face it- Pink is always going to be a winner,  and when you pair it with white, silver and gray it's hard to beat. I love the new cooking set and the dies are super cute. I added a little bit of sparkle of course, and the silver heart charms are on the discount list available until the end of June when the mini catalogue finishes. Sad of course but no doubt there will be something just as charming to win us over. How awesome is nature to provide us with so many gorgeous colours.  These galahs are ever so stylish. The font in this set is very easy on the eye, and I had to use the Happiness is Homemade sentiment on the inside. The Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack has the gorgeous gold diecuts but it also has a sheet of self adhesive sequins which have the most lovely pink glimmer. I can highly recommend them.
