CI#100 MAY 26 Stunning Colour combo- Inkspired by Lavender fields.

This week's colour combo is just so happy and bright, and amazingly, it's our 100th challenge. I've been with this group from the start so even though I have struggled to find time to participate recently I could not let this occasion go by. My cards are very simple but with such vibrant colours that's probably best. I used the fabulous new Perfect Plants suite and had a little bit of fun. The first card uses one of the new stencils for the background, but the second is much more clean and simple. So glad the brick wall embossing folder is staying with us, it's a must have. This is a great set for a beginner stamper, it's so easy to use, and very on trend. One of my kids tells me houseplants are the new pets! Not sure if I agree but it does amaze me just how many beautiful pots of plants they all care for! This is the inside- very simple. Isn't this just the most fun photo? CI#101 Sunset colours Ispiration

Welcome to the Colour INKspiration challenge for this week #101, and what a lovely colour combination we have for you. I was inspired to create another floral card using the Expressions in Ink stamp which is just amazing to use. I also love the stitched borders dies and have been creating a few cards using a double border. The new gold glimmer paper is fabulous and cuts very easily. Another new product is the fabulous tags dies- how cute is the little detail for the ribbon hole. this card was quite quick to put together, I hope you will create a card using these colours and share it with us over the next 2 weeks. I used both papaya and freesia ribbons for this- the organza ribbon is great because it doesn't add too much bulk to your project. Here's a little detail on the tag.  INKspired to join the challenge? Sunflower Simplicity

The new Annual Catalogue begins May 4th and while there are many beautiful sets retiring I am really happy that these amazing Sunflower dies are continuing. I had this sunflower left over from another project and it seemed perfect to use for the following card sketch. No stamping for this flower, any multicoloured paper behind the detialed diecut will work, even paper you've painted yourself. The strip of foil was also lying on my desk and it wasn't quite long enough, so a simple snip to divide it in 2 and extend it out to the edges and no-one will ever know. There are some of my favourite embossing folders retiring too but not this great texture design. A card sketch is a great way to get going if you don't have a starting point. This one is very easy to use. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Sunflowers Dies [ 152704 ] $57.00 Painted Texture 3 D E

FMS# 483 Mother's Day Poppies

Creating Mother's Day cards is always fun- I love making something soft and feminine. I have had a big weekend creating using up bits and pieces from the top of my desk which seem to have been accumulating. It's a good feeling to bring odd pieces together and see where they take you. I had these few poppies left over and I have tried to use them many times before but today they found their home. I adhered the large heart over a square doily and trimmed off the corners.  I was loosely inspired by Freshly Made Sketches #483, and by the colours in the inspiration pic from As You See It challenge #249, although I will confess I thought the pink was softer - I have used Petal Pink and Blushing Bride here - I only realised it was Flirty Flamingo later. I did add some So Saffron ink into the watercolour and it definitely improved the poppies. None the less I am happy with the finished card. There were plenty of bits and pieces that worked well to decorate the inside too I hope you hav
