Festival of Trees sneak peak

This is one of the new stampsets available in the coming Christmas Catalogue - should be available after August 28, and I will be using it in my Card Class this weekend. The coordinating punch is fabulous. I am also really impressed with the new Desoigner Series Paper from the catalogue - this is a much heavier weight than the regular paper and is beautiful for making boxes. It has a lovely texture like the Kraft cardstock too which is nice to stamp on. I think Christmas cards need to be simple so these fit that requirement. Garden Green, Cherry Cobbler, glitter paper and linen thread- Easy.

CASEing the Catty #3 Birthdays

The Catalogue is always a great place for inspiration and I have been wanting to join in this new Challenge site but have only found time this week to jump in. This week we are asked to CASE anything form the Birthday sections from p42-59. I love the simplicity of the design on page 55, and I absolutely love the new KRAFT cardstock so this was an easy choice for me. I have used the new Photopolymer stamp set Bordering Blooms in Wild Wasabi, and have used strips of both Wild Wasabi and Pool Party, embossed with the Delicate Designs embossing folder. The layered flower uses the Pansy Punch and Flower Shop stamp set in Strawberry Slush and the Blossom Flower punch behind it, while the Birthday Wishes sentiment comes from Four You. Add a little bit of bakers twine in island Indigo to finish it off. Easy! Would be a great class card. Thanks for looking and check out the great Birthday ideas by the design team at CASEing the Catty  This version is a narrower card and uses Lost Lago

Fathers Day accordion Tag Fold card

I had. A lot of fun making this style of card. It is not my original design and I am grateful to Linda Higgins who has made a tutorial on her website. She uses both cm and inches in her measurements but I find it confusing switching between the two.  So here are my measurements in all metric: Take an A4 piece of cardstock and cut it vertically down the middle at 10.5cm - this is the metric standard card width I use all the time. Trim one of these pieces to 9cm width and score this piece in half at 14.8cm. This will be your card front. I have decorated this piece with the tree from Look Up to Father. Score the remaining piece at 1.5cm, (for first Tab - will be glued to inside of card front)  then 4 panels that are 6.5cm wide. i.e. score at 1.5, 8, 14.5, 21, 27.5 , the remaining small section will be your second tab to glue to inside of card back. mark the midpoint of each of the 6.5cm panels and slide the scallop tag topper punch all the way in lining up the midpoint of the top
