I think this little set of stamps and matching punch is going to be hugely popular- I had fun playing with it yesterday. I did get the inspiration from a few cards I have seen around on Pinterest ( one in particular  by Janneke, see it  here )  but I adapted it a little. Pinterest is a constant source of inspiration for me. Please check out my boards, i have lots of great samples stored up! I am trying to use up some retired cardstock in an effort to control my craft room! I don't really need more card and paper- but I do love new things!! So as well as Baked Brown Sugar paired with Primrose Petals , and Soft Sky paired with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso , I have used Bravo Burgundy, Regal Red . Stamp sets used include  Banner Blast, Clockworks, Bloomin Marvellous, Sweet Essentials, Timeless Talk and Gorgeous Grunge.  As well as Linen Thread and Bakers Twine I have used embroidery thread to match,  Natural buttons and some Regals Buttons...

This is the card I created for a swap ( my first swap in fact)... and yes I ignored my own advice about keeping things simple!  I used Timeless Talk , and the Music Notes Roller Wheel . Gumball Green and Soft Suede ink. Window Frames Framelits and circle punches in 21/2", 13/8", 11/4" and 1". Pool Party cardstock 6x6cm and daffodil yellow 6.5 x 6.5cm. Linen Thead and small silver brads to finish.   It uses the fabulous Epic Day DSP which is very versatile for male cards. This version is a birthday card but it could easily be used for Father's Day. The embossed piece uses a Soon-to be-released Embossing folder from the Christmas Catalogue,( sneak Peak, Pretty Print EF )  it's fantastic. I have used the Crumb Cake cardstock and have swiped the raised surface with the Gumball Green ink pad. I do love the Clockworks stampset and there are some great samples out there - I cased this card from one I saw on Pinterest  here . I love the colours used but changed it up a bit. I also discovered some old metal rim tags that were a stampin up product in the past and they were perfect for the clock. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig I was able to get the numbers placed centrally. They are heat embossed with the Pewter Powder and on some of the clocks I sponged a little shimmer paint to give them a nice Patina. A simple brad in the centre of the Hands adds a little more dimension. Gumball Green. Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, Smoky Slate and Tempting Turquoise was my colour palette. cheers, Liz

Have been trying to get ahead with some Father's Day cards- this is what we made at the last class. I used the great new set Timeless Talk and stamped the image twice- once in Stazon black and once with Versamark which I heat embossed using the Pewter Powder ( a definite favourite!!) I cut out the gramophone horn and mounted it up slightly with dimensionals. The image fits well into the 21/2" circle punch. I used the clockworks background stamps to lay down a bit of colour on a scrap of Very Vanilla onto which I stamped the sentiment. It needed a bit of a lift so I ran the bottle top through the Bigshot to flatten it out.(Sadly they are now retired, but they were in the Summer Mini last year and I think they are perfect for male cards). I used a few strips of some Modern Medley DSP and layered the black image on a square of Very Vanilla 6cm x6cm. Just using up some scraps on my desktop. I am quite pleased with how this vintage look came together. Used the new Timeless Talk stamp set,  embossed this with Early Espresso powder and cut it out to layer up on my card. Thanks for looking, Liz
