CTC#144 Quilted Christmas using some sunflower leaves

Hello and welcome back for the first round of our Christmas Holiday Catalogue projects. How exciting to be using the Christmas catalogue already. The products in the holiday catalogue are available now and I think there's something for everyone in there. I am CASEing the Quilted Christmas section but using some different products as I am not yet ready to make Christmas cards.  Each gift box contains 4 notecards and 4 envelopes and 4 gift tags. I have CASE'd the layout of the little notecard on the bottom of page 4(below), and the mini Pizza box on page 7.  The card is such a simple layout with a square of DSP as your base, a plain colour strip and a simple embellishment. I bought the quilted Embossing folder and wanted to use that so have embossed the panel for the box front and the vanilla strips for the notecards. ( the EF is not too easy to see on page 5, but it sure is lovely!) I stamped the leaves from the sunflower set using the babywipe technique. ...

CI#16 Manly Colours with a Feminine twist- and a Sneak Peak of some New sets!

Hard to believe another 2 weeks have flown by and we are back being inspired by a NEW COLOUR PALETTE for CI#16. It's a great combination which would be ideal for Father's Day but since I've already made a ton of Father's Day cards for the markets recently (You can check out some of those masculine ideas here  and here ) I found I was running low on feminine cards - how strange! I have been needing to restock my market supplies of notecard sets and the new Pizza Boxes are perfect - and joy oh joy the 3x3 mini envelopes are BACK in the new catalogue (page44 with the pizza boxes). So this is a matching set I've created this week. The jar is stamped onto vellum and this is layered on a piece of acetate just to give it a bit more rigidity. I've glued these on with the thin foam strips designed for shaker cards. The cute little "with Love" is part of the "Made with Love" sentiment that comes in the new set "Labels to Love" I alway...

Christmas Gift Card Class - making sets of notecards to give away

This weekend I held a class where participants made 2 little sets of notecards, boxed up and ready to give away. Single pot plant from Gift from the Garden coloured with markers. cut using Stitched Sirdcle Framelits, note the 1/2" strip of DSP from the envelopes. I was fortunate to have enough of these fabulous retired boxes for everyone to parcel up their packs, but there are plenty of other packaging options You could make a larger envelope using the envelope punch board You could make a box using a sturdy card like the Kraft cardstock and the Envelope Punch Board. - I often use the Box Buster by The Crafty Owl, you can find this fabulous tool for calculating the size of card you need and the score lines here . Joanne has created this great site and allows anyone to use it You could use the Kraft Tag and Bag  you could use the Mini Treat Thinlits and create a bag At any rate, a set of cards is always a sweet gift. I had created several options but they ...
