CTC#144 Quilted Christmas using some sunflower leaves

Hello and welcome back for the first round of our Christmas Holiday Catalogue projects. How exciting to be using the Christmas catalogue already.
The products in the holiday catalogue are available now and I think there's something for everyone in there.
I am CASEing the Quilted Christmas section but using some different products as I am not yet ready to make Christmas cards.

Each gift box contains 4 notecards and 4 envelopes and 4 gift tags.

I have CASE'd the layout of the little notecard on the bottom of page 4(below), and the mini Pizza box on page 7.  The card is such a simple layout with a square of DSP as your base, a plain colour strip and a simple embellishment. I bought the quilted Embossing folder and wanted to use that so have embossed the panel for the box front and the vanilla strips for the notecards. ( the EF is not too easy to see on page 5, but it sure is lovely!)

I stamped the leaves from the sunflower set using the babywipe technique. It's such a cool technique and so much fun because you never quite know what patterns you will get with the colours. I used only 3 drops each of Lemon -Lime Twist, Old Olive, and Tranquil Tide. I was able to stamp loads of leaves and then wondered what else I could do to use up some of the ink. The sentiment and the cute little wreath are from the Ready to Pop set - and I have to say again that I think this is one of the most underrated sets in the catalogue.

I wanted this set to be quick to put together so the leaf is simply stapled onto the 11/2"circle of plain card. The circle is then glued down and the sentiment ( in a 1"circle ) is simply adhered over the top of the staple with 2 dimensionals.
The DSP is so fresh and lovely and is from the new Thanksgiving set. I will be making more of these cute sets for the markets coming up. They are fun for Christmas gifts. The pizza boxes are fabulous, you simply must add them to your order.

Here's the inkpad and all the extra images I was able to stamp from 9 drops of ink! These will make up quickly for the markets in little gift packs. I have more images of pizza box gift packs which I made up, and you can see them here.
I am so glad Stampin' Up! has brought back the little 3 x 3 envelopes and I have to say the Pizza boxes are fabulous.
Next on from me this week is our guest designer Cathy Pinchbeck. It's so great to have new players celebrating the catalogue with us. Welcome Cathy.

Kathryn is before me this week.

and we'd love to see what you create this week using the holiday catalogue pages 4-9 as your inspiration. Post your creation to our Facebook page. It's easy!

Thanks for looking, and remember

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
