What an honour to be invited back to join with the Caseing the Catty team for their 500th challenge! Thankyou Bec for thinking of me. I started with the CTC crew way back at the beginning and I still go to the catalogue as a ready reference for creative ideas. The earliest post I can find is 2014 - CTC#3! 10 years of crafting along, that's pretty amazing. For this challenge it was completely open to choose any project to  CASE from either the annual or the Christmas mini catalogue. There are lots of projects in there that spark a creative journey for me and I did have a hard time choosing. In the end I opted for something simple since none of us have much free time at this hectic time of year. To make things a tad more difficult I have covid so feeling pretty low on energy. Lucky that crafting is a relaxing pastime and I can sit at my craft desk without be scolded too much by my loving DH that I need to be resting! I hope these gorgeous colours inspire you to get creative and share with us. Picture credit - Trigg Beach, Perth, WA -  https://www.instagram.com/p/BgjAffnFp7x For the start of the year I took a pretty laid back approach and simply sponged the four colours in layers using a blending brush.  I layered the ink directly on the beautiful Notes of Nature DSP with its gororgeous gold printed images. The gold really shines through. A simple sentiment stamped in Blueberry onto Pool Party which had some additional Pool Party Ink added to it. Add a gold foil diecut gold leaf from the coordinating set of dies and you have a simple, colourful card.  The Notes of Nature stampset is so easy to use to add interest to the inside panel and the envelope.   Bron's 60th Birthday Blog and INSTA Hop #6 - Tropical Holiday The theme FOR #6 is "Tropical" to celebrate Bron's actual birthday. - She's enjoying the beautiful Tropical North Qld.  As the end of the Annual Catalogue approaches I just had to use this lovely set one last time. Our colours this week include 2 retiring favourites too - Misty Moonlight and Just Jade. I will really miss these two.  For my square cards I used the Stamparatus to do some "stamping in the round". It took quite a bit of experimenting to get the stamps in the right spot, and while not perfect I was happiest with this result. The central flower was fussy cut and mounted on a polished pink circle. I left this one without a sentiment for simplicity This version needed to be trimmed down as I wasn't happy with the border effect.
