Country Livin' Classic Boots

I have been having a little play with this new stamp set. It's pretty easy to use. The Serene Scenery DSP is great and easy to use here, with nature prints on one side and geometric patterns on the other. The sentiments are all from retired sets and the bits of hardware are from my stash - still using up bits and pieces lying on my desk!! thanks for looking, Liz

CTC#36 Love and Sympathy

Hi and Welcome to this week's blog hop. You may have arrived here from Judy's blog . She always has such lovely projects. Or you may have come from the CASEing the Catty blogpage. If you get lost along the way you can find a full list of all the designers here . Either way it's great that you are here. Welcome to another round of the bloghop for CASEing the Catty. This week we are inspired by the projects in the Love and Sympathy section of the catalogue. This was hard because there are just so many beautiful inspiration pics in this section, however I was immediately drawn to the picture on page 25 the very first time I saw it. I have to say however, that this was not an easy card to CASE. I used the Awesomely Artistic Set and substituted a few elements. I don't have those lovely label Framelits so I punched each strip with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch on either end and then trimmed the stamped layer back a little. I did't want to use a do...

Scallop Tag Topper Concertina Love Card

I have been playing with the Scallop Tag Topper punch- which I love - and found some inspiring pictures on Pinterest (Of course!!). I quite like the Love card made byLeanne Pugliese here  at Wee Inklings, so i have made one too. I have used Early Espresso Cardstock and ink,  and Tangerine Tango ink, with DSP from the Venetian Romance set. I can't believe it has taken me nearly a whole year to get some of this paper, it's so beautiful, and now it is going to retire in only a few weeks. You can order your set from my online store. I don't have any current large alphabet stamps but the Lovely Letters seemed perfect.I have also used Petite Petals stamp and Punch, Simply Sketched Hostess set( also about to retire), sentiment from One in a Million (also on the goodbye list) as well a a very old sentiment from a forgotten set. I am also quite happy with my rolled newsprint roses. Now I need to make a box to fit it in, but that will be easy with my Envelope Punch Board ...

Golden Wedding Anniversary Card

My wonderful parents celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary this month so I have made them a special card using inspirations from a box card I saw on Pinterest here at   Rica's haven shadow box tutorial . I wanted something deep enough to hold the bouquet of flowers. I used Vellum cardstock as the card front which gave it a nice depth too.  The woodgrain in the  Natural Composition Specialty DSP gave the box a little more weight and stability, and made it look more like a frame I think. The Memorable Moments stamp set was perfect too. Thanks for looking, Liz vies from the top showing depth and inner box walls Love this sentiment from One in a Million. Card closed and sealed, ready for postage! Butterfly punched from vellum, then embossed,  -love it used some special gold marbled paper for background, and paper flowers for the bouquet.
