Joy Fold Cards with NEW beautiful papers. Sneak Peak, Florals in Bloom

What to do when you have loads of pretty paper? - Make cards that show it off, of course!

This is a selection of Joy Fold cards which I made recently for stamping friends, just to say "Happy New Catalogue". I love how bright and cheerful they look. The floral pieces and some of the patterns are from the new Florals in Bloom DSP which will be available on the 6th of May (Yay!) Some of the other decorative patterns are from sets in my stash. The Unbounded Beauty DSP is carrying over into the new catalogue which is great because it has so many versatile patterns which coordinate with so many other different papers. It's wonderful that several paper packs are continuing on, who doesn't love good value products?

I really love this new Sentiment Set too - Mixed Labels, Such a gorgeous font and beautiful sayings. "You're pretty wonderful" is so easy to use. You'll find it in the online exclusives section of the store, along with loads of other amazing things. These products aren't in any printed catalogue.

You can find the instructions for the Joy Fold by following the links from the Tab at the top right of this Blog Page - labelled "Fancy Folds". Just scroll down until you find the  Joy Fold section, it's a little way down, there are plenty of different Fancy Fold patterns and links on the page.

I've used the new Secret Sea Ink for the Cardstock base and for stamping the sentiments, and and I love how dramatic it looks.
All the flowers are diecut using the beautiful small flowers from the Happy Hibiscus set. These are so versatile and go anywhere.
Isn't the new orange - Timid Tiger- just lovely? It's a surprise for me to love an orange! I used the returning Strawberry Slush, Timid Tiger, Peach Pie, Secret Sea and Petunia Pop for all the flowers and simply mixed them up.

A Joy Fold is essentially 2 cards with the back of the smaller card adhered to the inside of the larger card. The large card opens right to left, while the smaller card opens left to right. You can find more samples and links here.

Happy Hibiscus.

You can find all these amazing products in my online store.

and I wish YOU a Happy New Catalogue! I hope you have a creative week and remember,

 post something pretty!"

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
