Season's Blessings inspired by the Annual Catalogue

When the Annual Catalogue came out I was drawn to the Season's Blessings stampset and the great dies which include a beautiful string basket. It might have been set you didn't notice at first, but it is lovely to use and I will have a few samples over the next few days. There are not a lot of samples created with this set yet, so when looking for inspiration I started with the best resource- the inspiration pictures in the Catalogue. Firstly by stamping the leaves with Just Jade on Mint Macaron cardstock, and using Mint Macaron as the background layer.  The flowers have matching dies which are easy to use and create a lovely bouquet quickly. The basket die is the perfect size for this all round sentiment. There are so many great stampsets with plants. flowers and foliage that would work well with the gorgeous baskets. I look forward to playing with this set some more. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!"...

CI#104 Black and White and a pop of Cherry

Not sure how it is Wednesday already but here we are with another colour challenge/ Black and White are always striking, add a pop of one other colour for dramatic effect. In this challenge we are using Cherry Cobbler. I find this a very rich colour so I used it to watercolour a strip of shimmer paper before cutting out some sprigs from the Sunflowers Thinlits. That way there are variations in the colour intensity. How cool is the inspo pic this week? The black and white paper is from the Hostess Set which is great value with 40 pages of 12x12 . Each one is coloured on one side and Black and White on the reverse.  I just layered up a few rectangles and embossed the centre white panel for interest. In the end I added some white glimmer numbers for a friends' significant birthday. The sentiment is from a retired set but it's nice and simple and just enough. I did add a simple strip decoration to the inside but forgot to photograph it before I had written in it! I hope you feel in...

CI#103 using Linen Paper and In Symmetry stamps

Welcome back for another Colour INKspiration share using Bumblebee Pale Papaya, Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen.  This is not my normal go to palette but I did enjoy playing with these colours. I had some fun using the masks, the blending brushes and the Linen Paper. It is a beautiful texture and has a self adhesive backing so you just peel off the backing paper and stick it to your project. I then used pin to pull a few threads and fray the edges. I loved using both colours over the background and was surprised how dark the papaya came up on the linen.  Picture credit : from  https://huskdesignblog.com/en/retail-le-style-duffy-stone/ I do love the In Symmetry stamp set and had some fun playing around with the different sized flowers for the front, the inside and the envelope. The leaf punch was a nice way to cut out some heat embossed leaves, and the font for the sentiments is just amazing. The new tags dies have surprised me with just how good they real...

Still in the kitchen with "What's Cookin'?"

Yesterday I posted a kitchen scene card and today I have another creation. Once you have all the elements cut it's fun to put them together.  This kitchen has a tiled wall with a glass splashback and timber benches! I cut the bowls using the Perfect Plants dies from some patterned paper. My kitchen has a giant white pot (the same shape as a pot plant pot) which holds all my utensils, so I was inspired by that to have a textured white pot on the bench. The What's Cookin'? stampset and dies make it easy to have lots of fun elements. The Bloom Where You're Planted DSP is perfect for fussy cutting the pot plants and greenery to add to your cards.   This month there is a fabulous 15% off a large range of DSP, click on the image to go to my online store to order yours.  You can find other examples using the "What's cooking'?" set here  and here  and I'll have a few more in the next few days. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don'...
