CI#124 PInwheel tower notecard. "Brew yourself a cup of tea"

I long ago purchased a small gift to go inside a card- it reads "Side by side or miles apart we'll always be close at heart. Brew yourself a cup of tea, I'll think of you - you think of me" I have used this thought to create a little card which contains a teabag to send to a friend. This is a small version of the pinwheel style cards and it will fit in a notecard size envelope- so the flat card is 3 x 5".   What a bright and sunny colour combination we have this week. I have a mini Pinwheel Tower card to share using this week's colours- although I did switch out Navy for Starry Sky since it coordinated with the Tea Boutique DSP better, but I think it still works well. Pinwheel Tower Card using Tea Boutique for Australian C6 envelope.

Those of you who follow me know I love a fancy fold card.  This is the Pinwheel Tower Card which has been popular on the social sites recently, but this version is cut to Australian measurements to fit in a regular C6 Envelope. The central tower is DSP which seems to allow more flexibility and easier folding than when created from Cardstock. DSP                   1 piece         10.5 x 10.5 cm           scored at 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10 cm and adhered along the tiny flap to form the square central tower. Cardstock           4 pieces      10.5 x 7 cm                to form the 4 blades of the pinwheel DSP / cardstock for decorating the panels          4 pieces  6.5 x 10 cm                       ...

CI#123 Vintage Bottle of pink sequins with flowers

Welcome back for colour INKspiration again and a gorgeous colour combination to play with. I was tempted by the inspo photo to pull out the wonderful tropical plant Artistically Inked set,  but the bottle punch was at hand and it's just so cute I went with that. I've used a Shaded Spruce wash, a jar full of Blushing Bride sequins and Effervescent Elements, some Metallic Woven Ribbon and some watercolour 100 diecut floral elements using the Flowers of Home Dies. Add to this some stamped and fussy cut greenery sprigs from the Bottled Happiness set. Set a piece of Layering Designs vellum as your background layer and add half a foil frame from the Fabulous Frames dies and finish it off with some In Colour Opal Rounds and there you have it. When you elements are cut from Watercolour Paper or Shimmer Cardstock you can paint them up with variegated colours as you go. The elements are fun, and your card will not be too bulky to post. You will need to wrap it in some lightweight card to...
