CI#128 Ranunculus Romance for an Anniversary Card

This beautiful stamp set has been begging for some attention and I had a lot of fun playing with some of the elements to put together this card for a 1st Wedding Anniversary for a beautiful young couple. I started with a watercolour wash on Shimmery White cardstock using So Saffron and Tahitian Tide, so the blending gave a soft green in the middle, then ran the whole page through the Quatrefoil embossing folder. I cut the two Ranunculus from Blushing Bride and from Petal Pink and spritzed them first with water to soften and shape them. Then I spritzed them again with some alcohol, blushing bride ink and some retired Shimmer Paint ( please bring that back Stampin' Up!). I also added some Very Vanilla wood rings elements, and some of the branches from the Tree Rings Hybrid Embossing Folder and dies.  It's hard to find an anniversary sentiment but the Ringed with Nature set certainly has one which was perfect!  Our beautiful inspiration picture this week is delightful. picture cr...

Another Double Front Card using Nature's Prints.

As I often say - It's just as easy to make 2 cards as it is to make one. So while I had all the ink and paper out on the desk I created a second design. You can see the first card published on Aug 17.  Folded flat it looks like an ordinary card. The front of the card hides an identical sized panel behind with some alternative stamping. It's also a great way to show off some cooordinating DSP.  for link to instructions see  Fancy Folds tab or here Such a fun fold, I'd love it if you share your creation with me. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Splendid Thoughts Bundle (English) [ 159677 ] $90.75 Nature's Prints Bundle (English) [ 158801 ] $98.00 Blending Brushes [ 153611 ] $21.75 Water Painters [ 151298 ] $23.00 Sahara Sand A4 Card Stock [ 121695 ] $16.25 Sahara Sand Classic Stampin...

Double Front card using Splendid Thoughts

The Double Front card is one of my favourite Fancy Folds and I like to create it each time there's a new catalogue out to showcase different papers, colours and Stamps.  You can find the instructions under the Fancy Folds tab at the top of this page under the blog header. I have plenty of other samples on the blog in this design. This one was created using some of my favourite colours - Coastal Cabana and Sahara Sand, and some of the beautiful Pretty Prints DSP  I'll have photos of the alternative version later this week.  The DSP from Splendid thoughts is really lovely with all the metallic pages. You'll find other samples and a link to the instructions here  - or just search the blog using " Double Front Card"f Do have a go at creating this lovely card style, it's a lovely way to use the DSP and create a card with a little surprise inside. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, L...
