CI#131 Rich earthy colours with Artistically INked

It's another round of colour Inkspiration and I am late to the party having been away on holidays for a much needed break. Challenge #131 uses a gorgeous colour palette of beautiful early tones and it was a pleasure to create with these. My card uses Artistically Inked stampset - a super easy set to use - with the addition of some Gold Foil and the wonderful Gold Shimmer Ribbon (156470 from the Jul - Dec Mini catalogue) tucked in behind. The ribbon is just two short pieces, about 2 inches each, folded in half and held in place with glue dots- a simple way to add a little bit of sparkle. I also added some Wink of Stella- my favourite tool - but it doesn't show up very well in these photos. There are lots of beautiful creations already on the Facebook page, be sure and check out all the samples there. You still have time to create and share with us. YOu'll love working with these colours. Picture credit  http://dogbikecarrier.com/dog-travel-carriers/ INKspired to join the ch...

World Card Making Day Oct1 - sharing creativity

T o celebrate World Card Making Day, I am participating in Kathryn's Blog Hop of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from All Around the World to share a card that I have made today (or recently). Kathryn has also challenged us to post this card within a week to someone special, as we all love to receive a big paper hug in the mail. I couldn't agree more. I love the wildflower "Meadow Dies" and have had some fun cutting lots of wildflowers from various papers, and creating little montages with them, layered over an embossed panel. This uses the "Leaf Fall"   Embossing Folder. You can get endless variations of the flowers using patterned papers, and 3 stems is enough. I posted back in April with my tip on how to paint the wildflowers   They look great on both white or vanilla. I do love the kraft card stems in there too. this one uses the Hive and Eucalyptus Embossing Folders I have already posted a bunch of cards this week- my friendly Post Mistress - Treena - ...
