Techniques with White Pigment Ink - Offset Stamping

There are several great techniques using White Pigment Ink. At a recent event I demonstrated a few of them including:     * Direct stamping with White onto coloured cardstock     *Offset stamping     *Bokeh technique     *Painting with White Ink     *Emboss Resist It has taken me a while to share these samples, I'll post them over a few days. I hope you give some of these techniques a try. Offset stamping is very easy, and has a great effect.  Simply stamp your image in the White Pigment Ink.  Wait for it to dry completely, then stamp the same image in a strong colour but moved only slightly to one side. This gives a great shadow effect. This one probably could have been closer together, but it looks ok once it's made into a card. I used the fabulous Changing Leaves stampset for these cards. I love the clean lines in this image. The 3D Hybrid folder is pretty clever to emboss the leaves and cut them at the same time. "don't just post online,  post something pretty!&qu

Techniques with White Pigment Ink - Direct Stamping

I hope you give some of these techniques a try. White ink and a Line Image look great on dark coloured cardstock.  Here's a few samples showing the different effects on different colours. Pretty Peacock, Night of Navy, Gray Granite, and Pebbled Path. For each one I have embossed the piece of DSP with an embossing folder, I have cut the circles using the fabulous Spotlight on Nature Dies , and I have used the teacup from Everyday Details . A little piece of coordinating glimmer, some ribbon and some twine, all attached underthe sentiment using a simple stapler for some quick and easy cards. Don&#

You can also use the search function in the top right corner as well. These measurements are a bit different because they are a mix of me

Techniques with White Pigment Ink - Bokeh Technique

With White ink you can create this look by using a mask and sponging the white ink in circles. I use a piece of perspex and have cut 3 circles of different sizes. First take a background piece of card - this could be white or coloured - and apply coloured ink in patches. I used a blending brush and applied 2 blues and basic beige to a piece of beige cardstock to cover the whole piece. Then take your mask and apply the white ink in circles. Make sure these ar

Techniques with White Pigment Ink - Painting on Crumb Cake

There are several great techniques using White Pigment Ink. I love the effect on Crumb Cake. In this sample I have not added any additional colour. I love the effect. In this one I again painted with colour after the white had dried and layered it up with some texture  and layers to create a twisted easel card. You can get quite different looks depending on how you display your elements. I hope you give this great technique a try, it's lots of fun I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post

Techniques with White Pigment Ink - Painting with White Ink

I love the effect on Crumb Cake and this one on Pebbled Path. The ink is water based so it is simply a matter of diluting the ink with a few drops of water on a palette ( I use a stamping block or my silicone mat) and painting with a small paint brush. You need to allow the ink to dry completely, and it will fade a little as it dries so you can add more white to increase the intensity to the desired level as desired. Because it is a thicker ink it takes time to dry. Y

Colour INKspiration #170 - choose your 3 favourites. Painting on white ink technique.

This great challenge is open for 3 weeks so even though I am slow out of the blocks you still have 1 week to create your own project and share it with us. It has been great seeing what colour palettes appeal to different designers. Choosing only 3 colours is tricky! This challenge is open for us to choose our 3 favourite colours. I love greens, and blues and these are often my go to colours, but I always love Navy and Hot Pink and a bright Green together, so for this card I have used  This technique is one we used at a recent demonstration day where I focused on using White Pigment Ink . It's a beautiful technique where I stamped the line image in White Ink and heat embossed with White Powder to establish the background. In this case this was done on Crumb Cake cardstock. Then you need to use the white ink and paint the image white. It's water based ink so you simply paint with water and a fine paintbrush. You get a beautiful effect on coloured cardstock and I did a few samples
