Welcome back to CTC - it's been a while since I was able to participate so I'm really thrilled to be able to join in. This is a massive section of the catalogue and I wasn't sure where to start so I decided to simply go with one of the images that jumped out at me when I first read the catalogue back in April. The gorgeous simple line images from Grandma's House appealed to me at first sight. And since time is precious I have made 2 very simple cards using the fabulous Magnolia Lane Cards and More from the beginner brochure. These time savers are such good value at $1.75 each for the card, envelope and printed M&M card. Grandma's House is on page 28 of the catalogue and one day I will make a shaker card with the cutout around the house but not today!! I used my Stamp n Write markers in the colours below and a blender pen to colour the images and a watercolour wash to colour the background. Well I have to say this colour palette is beautiful but it was certainly a challenge- quite apart from finding the time to create which is a challenge all of its own. I normally sway quite easily to blues and greens, and my first impression of the new In Colours was that Terracotta Tile would be my least favourite. How wrong I was. It's still not my fave but I surprise myself with how much I am using it. I think working with a colour that is not your favourite is a good way to drive some creative thinking. I was very keen to use the stamp set from the Fro the Love of Felt kit - the leaves and the stitching and the flower are all gorgeous elements.  The kit is really gorgeous. I was inspired last year by a framed wreath tutorial. I think it was by Mikaela Thitheridge using the sprig punch, and had LED fairy lights wound around inside it. It was beautiful and although I purchased and read her tutorial I never got around to making it, ( and now I can't find it lol....)  but I have been wanting to create a few items using the leaf punch as I will be using it in an upcoming class and wanted to show how versatile it is. So this is my small version. I used one complete A4 sheet of 5 different greens: Call Me Clover   Shaded Spruce   Mint Macaron   Garden Green   Soft Sea Foam and punched as many leaves as I could from each sheet. I put all the leaves in a clear plastic storage case and simply made a tossed salad with them and scrunched up handfuls so they were mixed and a little distressed.
