FMS#178 a shaker card

The sketch from Fresly Made Sketches made me think straight away of a card I saw recently which was made by Bronwyn Eastley which I have been wanting to try. So I did!

It should have been a lot faster but I just couldn't get anything to work properly the first time. Anyway, I wanted to make a shaker card and finally got all the right pieces in the right places.

I used the Sale-A-bration Set You Brighten My Day, Lost Lagoon and Pistachio Pudding cardstock and ink, Spring Flowers Embossing Folder, the Shaker frames adhesive rims and window sheets cut with the circles framelits, and the wonderful HelloYou thinlits dies. The shaker contains some small beads and sequins from the In Colour Sequins Assortment. I would have liked to add glitter but that seemed a dangerous option given how everything else went wrong initially. Maybe next time…
Some Lost lagoon bakers twine was separated to give thinner threads and used to stitch on a little button and tie on the tag. The white threads are from separating the White Jute Ribbon.

I was happy with the eventual result. It's such a cute set to use.

You can see Bronwyn's Fold Over Window Card here and follow the links to Dawn Olshefski tutorial video.

Thanks for looking, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...
