Revamp of an old card - working magic with a scalpel and a Piece of Cake.

Do you ever make cards that just don't quite work and you can't bring yourself to use them? I do, all the time. And sometimes I can revamp them into something new, like this Birthday card using the fabulous Piece of Cake stamp and punch

 This is the new version
This is the old version

I created these watercolour cards last year, and you can read more about them here.
But they never really worked for me so I did a little surgery - I cut the panel off the Pineapple card, leaving a thin border and mounted in on some Kraft cardstock (I wish Stampin' Up! would bring this gorgeous card back), before mounting the cake in front of it.
Now I like it much better.
I may just have to have a look at what else I have that needs a little TLC .... or a scalpel!

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

cheers, Liz
