The weeks are flying by and finding time to craft gets tricky some weeks.
(I'm already late for this challenge but ......)
I just love the colour combination this week so I pushed myself to get creating.
Do you have products in your collection that you just KNOW will make a great card but you never quite get to pull them to the front? That happens to me a bit and the Cherry Blossoms from this die set are a classic example. So I wanted to use them for this challenge. Going back to my early crafting advice that it's easier to make 2 cards than one I created plenty of flowers and set to work.
I love the flowers and the crockery and the table setting and the linear elements in the table, all of which I tried to capture.

For projects like this I like to watercolour a small piece of Fluid 100 paper and here blended both purples on one end of this piece and just the Mint on the other end, drying the piece between layers of colour and building up depth.
Then I cut as many flowers as possible from the base and set them aside on a small palette- an offcut piece of firm cardboard.( from a pack of specialty paper )
Having created one on texture white card I found some retired smoky slate DSP and used that as the background for card #2.
White or Slate background?
