CI#161 Simply Zinnias- fresh and colourful thankyou cards.

Well what a lovely colour combination this turned out to be!
I wasn't sure how the bright pink and the muted pink would go together but I love it.

And can you spot the new stampset - Simply Zinnias is an online exclusive product which just became available. It's such an easy set to work with.
The embossing folder is just so detailed it's a real pleasure to use.

of course I always decorate the inside too.

so bright and cheerful.

I was having such a great time creating with these colours that I made 2 cards.

For this one I stamped in Moody Mauve and coloured over some of the petals with Melon Mambo.

The Flowering Zinnias suite is so beautiful, and so easy to use I can highly recommend it.

I love to decorate the inside too.

I hope you get a chance to join in with this week's colour combination. It's a beauty.
Then share your card with us at our Facebook group.

It's a big week this week with the annual Stampin Up! event happening in Melbourne. For the first time I will not be attending, but I have lots of friends who will be there checking out what's coming with the new catalogue at the end of April.
In the meantime you can see what else is new along wiht the Zinnias suite by clicking on the following link for the Online exclusives - none of these products will be in any printed catalogue.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

Funky Folds Blog Hop= a Bay window card using Country Flowers

Well it's been a very long time since I participated in a blog hop - and it feels good to be participating in a FUNKY FOLDS hop. You may have come from Jan McQueen's creation, or you may be starting here. Be sure and hop all the way around. I do love Fancy Fold cards and of course with a new catalogue and new products it is fun to be creating again. I have a big weekend retreat coming up in a few weeks and we are using the Country Flowers Stamp set so I am creating a swag of samples. Since time is such a precious commodity for all of us I am using some old favourite folds with new products - a whole new lease on life. For this week's hop I am revisiting the Bay Window Card. The front tri-panel piece bends forward and tucks in behind the little anchor which is fixed to the inside. Your card will stand up unaided. This is it with the edge tucked under the anchor. You can find the measurements and instructions and several previous samples on these pages. Today's card featu...

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
