What a beautiful colour combination for CI#176. This is such a lovely fresh colour palette, I had a lot of fun putting this card together. I wanted to use the Textured Floral stampset as it has been sitting on my shelf a teensy bit neglected. It was perfect to use with only one colour of flower. Petunia Pop is bright and breezy and all 5 In Colours are available in the 2024-2026 12 x 12 specialty Glimmer paper which was a lovely lift for the flower centres.The Granny Apple Green leaves add a brightness and I used the olive glimmer paper (from the Berry Burst, Old Olive and White Glimmer Paper )to add some sparkle. It was nice to use just the one stampset and Textured Floral dies for this project - although the label die for the sentiment is from a retired set. I am not always great at cutting straight strips so this die gets me out of trouble sometimes.   There are several great techniques using White Pigment Ink. At a recent event I demonstrated a few of them including: ( well it's a while ago now!)     * Direct stamping with White onto coloured cardstock     *Offset stamping     *Bokeh technique     *Painting with White Ink     *Emboss Resist It has taken me a while to share these samples, I'll post them over a few days. I hope you give some of these techniques a try. So this is a bit of a different approach to Emboss Resist. Often it is done with White, or Metallic , or Black and then coloured ink is blended over the embossing to make the stamped image jump forward. ( usually on a neutral cardbase ) This technique uses a different approach. Step 1. I stamped the leaves (from Changing Leaves) with Versamark and then used Clear Embossing Powder. I posted a card using the fabulous Changing Leaves 3D Hybrid folder for Colour INKspiration #168 back in June of this year (2024). I created some alternative samples at the time because I was having such a good time using it. This is one that also did not get shared with you at the time. I have used the copper from the amazing Metallics WOW! - Embossing Powders  which are a new formulation and much improved on the previous type.The watercolours are added after I embossed the leaves and they look so pretty. I just love the texture and detail from the embossing folder - and of course I do love a square card!  Thanks for stopping by today, perhaps this might inspire you to create and send a card to someone who might love a little note to brighten their day - I know I always love it! This is a card I made a little while ago but hadn't got around to sharing, I hope you like it. The fabulous Changing Leaves set is a hybrid bundle - you can purchase the stamp set alone or combine it with the Hybrid 3D embossing folder and the dies which cut and emboss the 3 large leaves all at once. I have used that for the textured maple shape leaf in a recycled cardstock in this example. The Background is simply stamped using the medium leaf sprig and some Pretty in Pink ink. I also stamped one of the sentiment stamps randomly on the background piece just for some interest.  The circles are diecut using the Everyday Details dies  Add a little bit of linen thread with your crumb cake cardstock and you have a very simple but striking card.  I recently did a class for some lovely ladies, most of whom had not stamped before.  We created a few cards including this easy Z Fold card. This is one of the samples I showed them. I sometimes use a combination of metric and imperial measurements and this is one of those occasions. Cardbase 10.5cm x 29.8cm (half A4 sheet) score at 7.25 and 14.8 DSP 10cm x 14.3cm and 10cm x 7cm Cardstock for Z fold 3 inches x 9 inches score at 3" and 6" White Cardstock for Z fold cut 2 at 2 3/4" square. I have lots of samples and instructions for Fancy fold cards which you will find under the tab on the top right of this page. You need to scroll down to find the one you want. We coloured the flowers using Alcohol Blends in Misty Moonlight and Lost Lagoon. the Spotlight on Nature Stampset is really beautiful and so easy to use. and here it is repeated in Pinks. I've been away for a lovely long holiday and have not done any craft for ages.....you may have noticed I haven't posted anything for a while.....so it's been nice to create a little card. The CI challenges are a great way to find a starting point for creation.
