I've been away for a lovely long holiday and have not done any craft for ages.....you may have noticed I haven't posted anything for a while.....so it's been nice to create a little card. The CI challenges are a great way to find a starting point for creation.
I took a white diecut from my useful box ( old parts of projects that need a new life) and applied some Lemon Lolly and some Crushed Curry Ink as well as a little touch of Crumb Cake using the wonderful Blending Brushes. Then I carefully peeled back the Adhesive Sheets layer and fastened it onto a sheet of crumb cake. This piece needed to be matted on a white layer to give the card some depth. The Adhesive Sheets make life so easy as they eliminate the risk of making a mess with liquid glue on your fine pieces. You can get lots of embellishments cut from one pack. I highly recommend them.
The sentiment is from Kindest Expressions which I heat embossed with the gorgeous new Metallics-wow! Embossing Powders using the copper, which worked a treat. ( The new branded powders have much better coverage and more definite colours, they are great) This piece is layered on some crushed curry for impact.
The Crushed Curry ribbon is now retired but it was good to finish off that roll and make some more space in my ribbon box. It was easy to make some loops and hold them together with glue dots - simple and effective.
To create the flowers I used both yellow inks on some Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper and once it was dry I used the fabulous Flowers of Beauty Dies to cut out a bunch of flowers. These look lovely once I put the Irridescent Pearl Basics in the centres.
I hope you have a creative week and do please share your creations with us in the Colour INKspiration Facebook page, and remember,
