Easy card using DSP - half sheet 12x12

We all have a stash of beautiful paper and I was inspired by a colleague ( Julia Leeper) to create these cards using a half sheet of 12 x 12 DSP .  These are a great way to use up some of that paper stash. cut DSP 6 x 12 being mindful of directional patterns score your DSP at 3 and 9 inches mark the midpoint on each end and score the paper from the midpoint to each side at the 3"score line.  fold to inside and adhere to create triangle point cut cardstock to 51/2 x 51/2 and white 51/4 x 51/4 and adhere to inside. cut front square cardstock 41/4 x 41/4 and white 4 x 4 adhere to the right flap being mindful of glue placement optional DSP triangles to cover inside flaps 33/4 x33/4 square cut diagonally   As this makes quite a large card and was too big for the square envelopes in my collection, I redrafted a smaller version which is easier to post. DSP 5 x 10, score at 21/2 and 71/2 Cardstock for inside 41/2 x 41/2 white Mat for inside 41/4 x 41/4 cardstock square for front ...

Bay Window card using Thankful Garden

It's been a while since I created a Bay Window card but they are such fun. This one uses the delightful new Lovely Garden DSP. I took inspiration form the colours in this sheet of DSP and paired Garden Green, Daffodil Delight and the new Secret Sky. I love the way Secret Sky is not quite as harsh as black, yet strong and clear for sentiments. These fabulous sentiments are from one of my current favourite sets - Mixed Labels. The flowers are easy to colur suing the masks and blending brushes, and the dies cut both the floral spray and the individual bloom.  Layering two circles together creates the little stopper  for the card to sit behind when you open it up so it stands for display. This gives a better view of the card opened and on display, of course they fold flat for posting. You can get all these beautiful products in my online store. What to do when you have loads of pretty paper? - Make cards that show it off, of course! This is a selection of Joy Fold cards which I made recently for stamping friends, just to say "Happy New Catalogue". I love how bright and cheerful they look. The floral pieces and some of the patterns are from the new Florals in Bloom DSP which will be available on the 6th of May (Yay!) Some of the other decorative patterns are from sets in my stash. The Unbounded Beauty DSP is carrying over into the new catalogue which is great because it has so many versatile patterns which coordinate with so many other different papers. It's wonderful that several paper packs are continuing on, who doesn't love good value products? I really love this new Sentiment Set too - Mixed Labels , Such a gorgeous font and beautiful sayings.
