Hi again and welcome back to the CTC blog where we are CASEing the Hostess sets in the Catalogue (p178-181).
If you have followed from the beginning of the bloghop you will have come the full circle and arrived from Jess. She always has such stylish creations.
The Hostess sets are such good value and there's always some great sets on offer. I have chosen to use the Happy Birthday Everyone set (at the top of the page) which is so useful, and I CASEd the card on the bottom of page 179.
The only problem was that once I had finished I realised it is very similar to last weeks card, and that again I have been drawn to orange and black!!(Not usually my colours!)
So I decided to add a male version to show how adaptable this set is.
Island Indigo and Lost Lagoon. |
Watermelon Wonder and Tangerine Tango |
I don't own the large Dahlia background stamp so I substituted the tree leaves from Sheltering Tree for the colour coming in from the top left corner. I inked the stamp, spritzed it with water and stamped onto wet watercolour paper with the base colour, and stamped off and used dry ink for the second layer once the wash was dry.
You may notice a few sneak peak products here - Black glimmer paper (super yummy), and the Happy Hauntings DSP is from the new Holiday Catalogue which will be avaialalbe next week. If you'd like a copy please get in touch - it has SO many fantastic things inside.
You have reached the end of the bloghop and can see the complete list of participants here at the CTC homepage.
Don't forget you can create and join in with us.
thanks for looking,
Liz

I love your cards this week!! Especially the dotty background. Looks stunning!!
ReplyDeleteLove these creations Liz! You've made it look so easy to just switch genders. I just love the black glimmer paper feature as well. It caught my eye straight away.
ReplyDeleteThese are both really cool card, but I think the first one is my favourite, just for the colours and the inclusion of the black glimmer paper! :)
ReplyDeleteyour layouts are both amazing!! I love the blue one, but the CASE of the catty card looks fantastic!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteWow this gives the sketch a whole new look! I love the first one with all those beautiful blues.
ReplyDeleteGreat cards Liz and orange and black are not my usual colours either but I love the card you've created in those colours. It looks fab. Very stylish.
ReplyDeleteThankyou all so much for your kind comments.
