It's the CTC blogshop for the Artistic Expression section of the catalogue. There's such a lot of gorgeous cards to see in this section.
Hello ago and welcome from Kathryn's beautiful post.
I am a little bit excited with how this week's card turned out.
After my card class on the weekend where we played with the Babywipe Technique, I used the flower image from Crazy About You and stamped repetitively to cover a panel. I love how it looks and I will be using this technique again especially when I don't have any DSP in the colour I need. I think it looks a bit like fireworks.
I used the card on the top left of page 117 of the catalogue for this inspiration. I loved the colour and the card layout.
The black scroll from Everything Eleanor was heat embossed onto the panel and the flower was heat embossed onto some typeset DSP before being cut out - love the goose treated this way in the catalogue sample card. For the sentiment I used the fabulous Alphabet Rotary Stamp and heat embossed with white powder on black cardstock. I was really happy with how this turned out, especially because the DSP layer is not "square" on the card and it is not usual for me to work on odd angles- definitely a challenge for me!!
This is the card from class and you can see more of the details for this one here
Thanks for stopping by my blog. You will find lots of great inspiration as you trip around the group. Next up is the very talented Alison Barclay
thanks for looking, enjoy your tour around the bloghop

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely detailed card Elizabeth. I agree the flowers do look like fireworks! I must get out the baby wipes & try this technique, it looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the pops of colour with the black and white theme and the a few rhinestones for a bit off added bling. This card is fab and sure to brighten anyone's day.
ReplyDeleteThis is so cool - your background reminds me of fireworks or starbursts. Really great card to showcase this technique. :)
ReplyDeleteThis card is amazing Liz! Love the vibrant colours against the black and white. Just gorgeous!
