CTC 75 Mother's Day - with a retiring favourite

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty - we are all catching up on our regular duties after the fun of On Stage at the Gold Coast last weekend.  You may have arrived here from Monique's blog, so welcome, I hope you find lots of inspiration as you continue around the crew.

For Mother's Day this year I have a whole range of cards for the CQ Craft Expo next weekend, and I have one of those for you today. It is inspired by the card on page 121 of the Annual Catalogue which feature 2 sets I love that are sadly retiring.  I will miss Summer Silhouettes - but don't worry There are plenty of gorgeous flower sets coming in the new Catalogue.

This is almost a direct CASE from the catalogue and the beauty of that is that it came together  really quickly. I added a few extra layers and some extra texture but I do love a quick card.

Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi - very easy colours to use together. Not sure if you can see but I learnt a new trick last weekend watching Shelley demonstrate her splatter technique with the wink of Stella- I used the aqua painter and some Soft Sky ink but i loved how it turned out.

I have lots to share with you in the next few days with some Sneak Peaks of the new colours and some new stamp sets which I got to use as part of being selected as a Display Stamper for the Gold Coast. The amazing thing was that there were 2 other current design team members and one past member there also as Display Stampers, so be sure to subscribe to my website in the box on the right to get all my new posts straight to your inbox.

If you lose your way you can find the full list of participants by clicking here

Don't forget we'd love to see what you create- come share with us...

thanks so much for looking, and check back in a few days too for the new colours.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car
