Fabulous Flora samples from Onstage

Working with the new Hostess Set Fabulous Flora was a good opportunity to do some colouring with the aquatinted and the blender pens.  The botanical line images are easy to shade using layers to give depth.  this is th large flower which I stamped onto a watercolour panel which I had created first using the beautiful new colours. the sentiment is from the affectionately yours set. the vellum treat bag shows the same image in monochrome as well as coloured. There are 3 other Botanical images in this set and I have more samples to share soon. Thanks for looking,  Liz

wedding Wishes with a bright pink Dahlia.

Just wanted to quickly share a wedding card I made recently for a friend. I didn't know for sure that pink would be the bridal colours but it was a good guess.  I love the Definitley Dahlia stamp for a solid base of colour, and Flirty Flamingo is such a great pink to use. the sentiment is from Rose  Wonder and is such a beautiful font. Thanks for looking, Liz

It might be Big & Golden but in the end 50 is only a number! JAI#301

So I have had the pleasure of making a milestone birthday card for one of my beautiful sisters and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies were so handy. The gold foil looked fabulous and I was really happy with the gorgeous marble paper (retired, SAB- Perfectly Artistic DSP )to put behind it. I have used lots of different elements to create this including the World Traveler Textured Embossing Folder, the deco labels framelits, the fabulous Party Popup Thinlits Dies  for the inside. She makes the most gorgeous pop up cards so the inside had to be a little bit special too. Hers are much more elaborate moving creations but I think she'll like this coming from me! There is a touch of Artistically Awesome on the base layer too, some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper for the heart and some gold cord. As well there are lots of other non Stampin' Up! bits and pieces. I'm also entering this card for the Just Add Ink challenge#301-just add numbers. The large numbers are perfe...

CTC#76 Have a Cuppa for Mum

Hello and welcome back for this weeks projects. You can find all the CTC blog participants here Pages 34-36 have some sweet projects made using the fabulous Have a Cuppa set  and matching framelits which I resisted buying initially. This is the project we made for mother's Day at March Class. I have CASED the Wisteria Wonder layout of the card at the right of this picture on page 34. For the Class we made one of these fabulous self closing boxes which holds a little selection of tea bags, and the card coordinates for a sweet little Mother's Day Gift.  The teapot sits on a vellum circle, but I needed to layer a patterned vellum over the Vellum cardstock as it needed the extra firmness to be stable. I used the Circles framelits to cut the ring frame from the Shine On Kraft DSP . - this frame hides the glue dots which hold the 2 layers of vellum together. the cute floral Paper is from the Love Blossoms DSP paper stack. Watermelon Wonder does look very bright in th...
