CTC#100 Presents and Pinecones

I've been short of time with lots of commitments- aren't we all too busy?? So I needed a quick card for this week's post - which is perfect as I am planning a stamp-a-stack for Christmas class. It's a very big section of the catalogue but I settled on the gorgeous card on page xxx
I have a few different versions using the same layout but different colours and embellishments. Not everyone loves tying bows so I tried to make them very simple. Heat embossing is such a simple way to add instant pizazz. The sparkling emerald Envy embossing powder is fantastic but I would advise definitely using your embossing buddy to minimise the amount of stray glitter, and I would also advise heating for a little extra time as it is not as easy to tell when the powder is compleltey set. ( In other words don't be as impatient as me!!!!) 
I didn't use watercolouring at all but a bit of simple sponging worked well as a backdrop to the sentiment. And since I don't have the holly punch I opted to add some of the Christmas trinkets instead. My silver ones haven't arrived yet but I had some retired options. For the copper version I added a few greenery fronds from the Jar of Love bundle.

The first is the simplest and I think probably my favourite in the end! I do love the catalogue sample with the little 'half fan' added at the top and bottom of the panel


Silver version slightly stepped up with some sparkly ribbon and some sponging over the spotty mask.

Copper version stepped up again using the pinecones, an extra few fronds and sponging over a different mask.


Love this inside treatment which I wouldn't have thought of.  The catalogue is a great source of inspiration for details like that.


I was so impressed with Krissy's tags last week with the gold and black, so I thought I'd try a different colour combination!


And finally I tried a one layer simple card which is quite easy to mass produce. No embossing on this one so it definitely needed some Wink of Stella. I used the brilliant stencil and just added a little bit of sponging which was perfect because the swirl shape matches the little swirls in the sentiment

    I wish I was coming to your stamp-a-stack!! I love all your cards - and my favourites would be the clean and simple last one, and the black and gold - but they are ALL amazing. This is a fabulous sentiment and it looks wonderful on all your cards.

    What a great stack of cards you have created Elizabeth. I love the sponged & masked ones ( I haven't used the masks yet) and the addition of washi sets off your first & last one perfectly. The black & gold one looks so elegant & special. They are ALL so lovely, I don't know how you going to choose one for your stamp a stack!

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
