CTC123 Easter

What a busy weekend- I can't believe Easter is almost here, and with so much to do before then I wanted something not too complicated to make for Easter this year. I'm quite excited because 2 of our children are coming home for the short break. It will be lovely to have them around for a few days. I always try to get lots of baking done- and of course there are traditional recipes to whip up. So I need some cards to go with their gifts.

This is a style of card that I have always admired but seldom made so I was pleased to finally get these created.  SOOO easy! Why haven't I done this before?
Their little envelopes will contain a small gift to go along with the eggs!

I liked the layout of the card on the top left of page 27 of the occasions catalogue- just the simple strip of DSP on the lower half of the card, and a colour banner behind the label with the sentiment on it, so that inspired the outside of the bag.

The pull out card is similarly simple. I cut the white card insert and the coloured label on the front using the Project Life Framelits- they make things super easy.

The sentiments are from various sets- Affectionately Yours, and Layering Love - sentiments that are perfect for family. A little enamel heart is also just the right touch. I do love the enamel shapes and they are great value for the number of pieces in a pack.

Don't forget we love to see what inspires you in the catalogue. Show us your easter projects on our Facebook Page.

You can find the full crew here if you get lost.

Grab a coffee and some chocolate eggs and hop around the rest of the blog participants this week. Next on this week's blog is Monique

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
