CTC#157 CASEing a colour combination - with a Sneak Peak of a gorgeous new framelit!

Welcome back to another round of Card projects inspired by the Catalogues. This week's challenge is pretty broad and gives us all lots of creative license, it's very easy to find a fabulous colour combination anywhere in  the catalogue, the hardest part is choosing which one.......

So I chose the one that jumped off the page at me- the stack of ribbons on page 167

Bermuda Bay (Easily a favourite), Garden Green and Crushed Curry. I found these colours pretty easy to work with, and I needed a birthday card so away I went.

I also was keen to play with some elements from a new set of Thinlits which will be coming to you from January 2- Petals and More. It's part of an amazing suite and you are going to love it. So here's your sneak peak. There are several outline thinlits and several detailed thinlits. I have been playing with the corner flower arrangement quite a lot. I'll have another post soon using this element .

I have applied a few little puddles of watered down ink in roughly the spots where the flowers or leaves will sit, then set the watercolour paper aside to dry.

Then simply adhered the cutout flowers piece carefully over the  patches of colour. A simple message and the smaller element on the inside.

Remember we'd love to see what you create this week and it's EASY - just take a photo of your creation and post the photos on our Facebook page.

Following me this week on the hop is my lovely and generous friend Julia
Before me this week is Peta

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"
cheers, Liz

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
