CI#32 Spots, Stripes and Straws

Welcome to another Colour INkspiration challenge. What a gorgeous colour palette this week.

I love Pink and Navy- and who can resist gold. I really enjoyed this card. The inspiration pic is really cute too.

I just recently acquired this stamp set  - Touches of Texture - after having it on my wish list for ages. This gorgeous spray of flowers is so delicate. It's really all you need on a card.  I'm so happy the set is carrying over into the next catalogue.
To create this I heat embossed the image in white, then I coloured the flowers with Craft White ink and my blender pen. Once that ink was really dry I used the blender again with Navy Ink to colour the flowers.
I find Pink Pirouette such a hard colour to use because it's almost too soft. But it is perfect for the texture background behind this flower image. It didn't show up at all on Crumb Cake but I did stamp it on the Pink Pirouette panel on the card base. Tone on Tone always just adds a little something.

The gold foil piece is cut using the Petal paletts thinlits, and the sentiment is from Just Sitting here.
And for the inside I just repeated the navy spray - stamped off.

I hope you feel inspried to play with these gorgeous colours and share your creations with us on our facebook group.  But first continue around the group to get some different ideas with the same colours. Next this week is the super clever Tanya, she has such a lovely style.
Also a big welcome to Kim Oliver - our newest design team member. Be sure to check out her work too.
I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
