CTC199 and a bright colour palette

Welcome back to CTC for episode #199- CASEing projects from the Country Lane section of the Holiday Catalogue. There's some stunning projects in this section - p 42-47. I chose a bright colour palette from the thanksgiving card on page 45. The colours just jumped out at me when I first saw it. I'm going to enjoy playing with these colours again.

My version has a few more layers. I added the ribbon and wrapped some twine at the top - mostly just because the stamping was a bit sparse at the top of the page since my stamped images are smaller than the Thanksgiving set in the catalogue. I used Jar of Love and Rooted in Nature and I'm really happy with those leaves.

I also punched a few leaves from coordinating cardstock and the white glimmer paper. You might get a better view on this angle. My background layer is from the Tranquil Textures DSP pack.

There's a lot in this section, I hope you find something from the CTC team that inspires you to CASE something too.
Don't forget we love to see what you create using the same inspiration pictures. Upload a picture of your project to our Facebook page.

Next on the hop this week is Sandra

and before me this week is Peta

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are.
