Something old, something new....

A girl can never have too many flowers! and I love the new Jar Punch which is coming in the new catalogue and will be available to order from Wed June 3. As a demonstrator one of the perks is being able to purchase a selection of new products before they are released and I have been having fun with this beautiful punch and the super easy adhesive jars. I have teamed it here with some other beautiful felt flowers for a very quick and easy project which packs a big wow factor.


With the current annual catalogue retiring in only a few days it's important to stock up on those items that you love because they won't be available after June 2nd. Some items have already sold out. I fell in love with the "For the Love of Felt" kit purely because of the flowers. They are still available but you'll have to hurry. Don't miss out on the last chance products.

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
