Quick set of notecards showing off DSP

I have such a lot of beautiful paper and I tend to hoard it - mostly because I find it hard to cut into a beautiful print! Maybe you are like me? Yet when I make a card using the beautiful paper that makes me happy too, so I have told myself to stop hoarding and start sharing ! I still think that the Venetian Romance DSP is one if the nicest sets I've ever bought and I am pleased to see it at such a good price on the clearance rack.
This design is one I saw on Pinterest and gave been waiting to try it.
I did add a few extra details.

I used Gorgeous Grunge  with Island Indigo and Pistachio Pudding to decorate the envelopes and the retired hostess set Because You Care for the sentiment. I love the Kraft card on Soft Suede. The inside has only a strip of DSP to decorate to keep it super simple. This is a thankyou gift for one of the many generous people who helped me raise funds for the Western Qld Drought Appeal at my #creativerelief fundraiser last weekend. You can still go online to donate to the Appeal or through any branch of the Westpac Bank
It's a quick and easy set to make.
Thanks for looking,
Liz

  1. You are one uber talented SU card maker! I found one of your cards on Pinterest and came on by and couldn't stop looking at all the awesomeness! Its so rare to find someone so talented! I hope you apply for the SU design team before it closes this year! I think you would win hands down! I did not know about the "case-ing the catty" design team, how cool is that?! I'll definitely go check that site out next!

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. I have purchased two packs - the Happy Haunting pack on page 47, which I was inspired to get purely from the background piece on the Lighthearted Leaves card on page 44. I don't celebrate Halloween, nor am I usually all that partial to Orange shades, but maybe that's changing! because I really like the designs. The pack has several papers that are specifically...

Envelope Dies perfect for an Acetate Tent card and some new DSP

After creating yesterday's cards I was on a roll and created this one using the beautiful Gilded Autumn DSP and the Fancy Phrases stamp set.  I really love the sentiments in this set.  It is such a simple design and easy to create. You can find all the directions on yesterday's post for Just Add Ink (JAI#518)  I watercoloured the white leaf after I had adhered the gold veins just to soften it, and I added a strip of mint DSP to the front of one of the tent stands as the white was a bit stark. That's the cool thing about this design, you can change it up plenty of ways. I'm sure we can all send these type of cards at the moment. I hope you are safe and well, and staying connected, wherever you are. I hope you have a creative week and remember,  "don't just post online,  post something pretty!" cheers, Liz Product List Ornamental Envelopes Bundle [ 155168 ] $83.50 Envelopes  Dies [ 153531 ] $63.00 Shimmery White A4 Car...
