CTC#116 Inspired by Pages 20-31

Welcome back of another week of CTC.
This week we are CASEing quite a big section of the catalogue-pages 20-31, which includes the Oh So Succulent suite.
I love the succulent set but need a lot more time to play with it. (I'm sure you can all relate to that!)
I also love little square notecards like the one on page 31, so I had a little play and this is what I came up with.

This week I've done the step it up system again. This is a lot of fun and a process which can help you analyse your own style and how to adapt that for classes or workshops to appeal to a wider range of styles. This week I am stepping it up from simple stamping directly onto the notecard, then building on that with another colour, added layers and embellishments.
Although the twine doesn't carry through from the base card it needed a little bit of black to tie them all together.


Beginner Crafter - very simple stamping and minimal supplies -

  • 1 colour of Cardstock (Thick Whisper White)
  • 1 ink colour
  • sequins
  • black baker's twine
  • TOOLS - fine tip glue 


Casual Crafter - one added layer plus bigshot detailed cutting
  • 1 colour of Cardstock ( thick Whisper White) 
  • Serene Scenery DSP
  • 2 ink colours plus  and third colour from the DSP
  • fine tip Project Life Journalling pen
  • sequins
  • TOOLS- fine tip glue, paper trimmer, Big Shot and thinlits

Avid Crafter -
  • 2 colour of Cardstock (thick Whisper White and Black) 
  • Serene Scenery DSP
  • 2 ink colours
  • third and fourth colours in the paper,cardstock
  • sequins and silver metallic thread
  • TOOLS- fine tip glue, paper trimmer, Big Shot and thinlits

    Awesome cards. I love your step it up style and I hope to give that a go one day. It looks so great. My favourite card is the one with the doodled edges. That looks amazingly!

    Such a great idea Liz, stepping your cards up. I struggle to make 1 card let alone 3, but I have to say they all look great!

GDP #277 a gorgeous colour combination with Pretty Perennials

The Pretty Perennials Stampset is gorgeous to use on its own but the floral dies really do add a little something special. My card this week matches the colour challenge at the Global Design Project. I have stamped directly onto the Oh so Ombre DSP which is a free Sale A Bration item with a qualifying purchase for the rest of this month. I love the tone on tone stamping for added depth. I have gone over the Happy with Wink of Stella but it's not easy to photograph. The teeny heart is a teeny leftover of some retired Blushing Bride Glimmer paper and I have also incorporated other retired embellishments like the library clip and crystal button - I do love to use them up. CTC#48 Who doesn't love new DSP

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty for this round. You may have come from Rachel's beautiful project  or you maybe starting here. There are lots of great posts to visit. This week we are using new Designer Series paper from the Holiday Catalogue - and who doesn't love a pack of new paper? The problem of course is which one to choose.... followed by the problem of actually having to CUT into a pristine pack. ....I know you all know what I mean. I have lots of photos for you today to try and show off some of the designs, but it's not easy to capture and they always look so much better in real life. I have purchased two packs - the Happy Haunting pack on page 47, which I was inspired to get purely from the background piece on the Lighthearted Leaves card on page 44.
