CTC#181 - It's a NEW Catalogue

CTC#181 Welcome to the NEW CATALOGUE. Oh my Goodness so many lovely new products. and of course new colours. I've been busy preparing for my Catalogue Launch June 9 and I am totally in love with the Nature's Poem Suite. The stamps are lovely, the paper is gorgeous and the framelits make it all so easy.
I'm also quite impressed with the new gorgeous In Colours for 2018-2020. And while I am always sad to see colours discontinued - especially Dapper Denim, I have to say I've fallen in love with the brightness of the new set.

I have been having fun watercolouring with these colours - and if you follow my blog that won't surprise you. I have loosely CASEd the watercolour panel card on page 133, to create my new In Colour sampler. The text is created using the alphabet stamps from the set "Make a Difference" - so easy to use.

With one of the panels I painted I used the "Enjoy Life" stampset from page 58 to create a few cards- I love the silhouette effect on Watercolour. You'll be seeing more from me using this set.

The little heart and tab are from Tabs for Everything which works really well with this set.

For my Catalogue Launch I created a colour sampler- and I have used this painter's tray every year for a while now.
But I have to say the actual card is not CASEd from the Catalogue but from a marvellous Demonstrator called Tracy Bish whose work I have recently discovered.(She was happy for me to CASE this- thanks Tracey)

Each panel incorporates watercolour, colour stamping on white (shimmer white) and the embossed leaf. Where the crystal buttons matched the colours I stitched them on also. I really love how bright they are. There is some fussy cutting around each sentiment and its' coordinating mat but it wasn't hard.

Next on the hop this week is Rachel

And Before me this week is the very talented Julia

Don't forget we love to see what you create. Please share your project with us on our Facebook page.

I hope you have a creative week and remember,
"don't just post online,
 post something pretty!"

cheers, Liz

CTC#86 Everyday is a good day to send a card

Welcome to the CASEing the Catty Sunday night blogshop where we use a section of the Catalogue to inspire this weeks projects. Designers can take a layout, a colour combination, or any element as the starting point to create something new. We invite you to tour around the hop and to join in -after all the Catalogue has so many beautiful samples to inspire us all. If you get lost you'll find the full crew here . You may have arrived from Simone , so welcome. And this week we are really excited to welcome 3 new designers to the team, Krissy, Deb and Kelly  please do leave them a comment and welcome. This week we are using the samples from the Everyday Occasions section (which is a huge section) from pages 66-91. Because this is such a big section we will revisit it in a few weeks.  I have chosen the card on page 71 because I have always been attracted to grids.  I have used the gorgeous new By the Shore Designer Series paper, it has such a lovely fres...

New In colour 2025-2027 cards and the FABULOUS Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape.

Don't you love it when a single product creates enough elements to decorate a bunch of cards at one time? The Extraordinary Flora Washi tape is one of those products. I created these for my upcoming Catalogue Launch. I put the Washi onto Basic Beige to cut these flowers and love how it coordinates with the Basic Beige card base. To create these cards I trimmed 2.5cm from the front edge and adhered a 3.5cm strip of DSP to the inside of the card to give an added layer. These were easy to put together. Darling Duckling Secret Sea Strawberry Slush Timid Tiger Cloud Clover June 3 - 30 Stampin Up has an amazing offer where you can get 50% off any second product from a suite. So for example if you were to purchase the Extraordinary Flora Die you would be able to buy the tape at 50% off. Please reach out if you want more information on this great deal. You can see all the available suites in my online store. I am loving all the new colours.  I hope you have a creative week and remember,...

Colour INKspiration#178 Happy Hibiscus

Happy Hibiscus is a new set in my collection and I needed to get it out and play with it, so this colour combination seemed like a good place to start.  Isn't the Inspiration picture amazing? I wish I was a better gardener and could grow these gorgeous treasures. But since that is not my skill I am happy to admire nature. Picture credit - https://leahhopephotography.client-gallery.com/.../print... I used the watercolour 100 paper and created two pieces of colour, one a range of dark and light Calypso Coral, and one a mix of Soft Sea Foam and Old Olive.  Once dry I was able to cut out the leaves and tiny flowers. I stamped the 3 large flowers over the watercolour and cut them out using the Hybrid Embossing Folder - It's so easy and super effective as it embosses and cuts in one pass creating some amazing depth for the blossoms. I love the leaf shapes and definition in these dies, just gorgeous. Lots of white seemed like a good way to let the colours shine, so a simple embosse...
