More #onstage2016 samples- Vellum mini treat bags - Sneak Peak of 2 new stampsets

Well I have lots more samples to show you, and these are 3 Vellum Mini treat bags I made using 2 new stamp sets... so here is a little Sneak Peak. The first two photos show my display board, and I will bring you more details on all the samples in the next little while. Today's samples are 3 vellum Mini treat bags which I made using the fabulous thinlits. The vellum has been embossed and the cards which slip in have a stamped image which are all hidden by the front decoration when they are assembled. I find that vellum is quite fragile so when using the bisghot for embossing I use only the least amount of pressure - Tab 2 is not quite as forceful as Tab 1 for this. I have used the Designer Series Paper in the coordinating colours, and I think you can see the beautiful new ribbon which matches. The Peekaboo Peach sample uses one of the images from a new set called "Love and Affection" The second two samples use images from one of the new Hostess sets c

CTC 75 Mother's Day - with a retiring favourite

Welcome back to CASEing the Catty - we are all catching up on our regular duties after the fun of On Stage at the Gold Coast last weekend.  You may have arrived here from Monique's blog , so welcome, I hope you find lots of inspiration as you continue around the crew. For Mother's Day this year I have a whole range of cards for the CQ Craft Expo next weekend, and I have one of those for you today. It is inspired by the card on page 121 of the Annual Catalogue which feature 2 sets I love that are sadly retiring.  I will miss Summer Silhouettes - but don't worry There are plenty of gorgeous flower sets coming in the new Catalogue. This is almost a direct CASE from the catalogue and the beauty of that is that it came together  really quickly. I added a few extra layers and some extra texture but I do love a quick card. Soft Sky Wild Wasabi Daffodil Delight Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight and Wild Wasabi - very easy colours to use to

On Stage a Display Samples - Love, Love, Love the new colours!

Well I was so thrilled - and nervous - about being selected as a display Stamper for Onstage. It's quite wonderful but 6 of the dusting team members from CASEing the Catty were selected. Judy May, Kathryn Mangelsdorf, Rebecca Scurr, Julia Quin, Jess Williams and myself. We all received different products to use. I was lucky enough to be sent all the new colours and 2 new stampsets to play with. I just love the new colours so here are the first lot of photos of cards I made. These use a returning stamp - the wonderful Dahlia. There are not too many background stamps in my collection which are returning so I started with this image for a full colour coverage. Dapper Denim - such a fabulous blue. I love it. Peekaboo Peach - teams beautifully with Pumpkin Pie too Emerald Envy Flirty Flamingo And for some reason I don't have one of Sweet Sugarplum on it's own so here it is teamed with a three tone version. I think the Flamingo, Peach and Sugarplum together

CTC#74 Shine on with Balloons

Welcome back for another week of great inspiration projects from the Catalogue. This week we are CASEing the Shine On section of the Occasions Catalogue form pages 30 -33. Welcome from Julia's blog, what lovely tags she has created. It's not a big section and at first glance it appears to not have too many options for CASEing. There are quite a few items in this section that I would love to own, but being realistic and trying to purchase sensibly they kept slipping down the priority list. One item that I definitely did purchase was the Shine On DSP. It is simply gorgeous and the photos don't really do it justice.  You need to hold this beauty in your hands to appreciate how gorgeous and shiny it is. I have made quite a few projects using it and they have all been very striking. The colours against the kraft are very strong, but the silver is absolutely beautiful. There are lots of great cards in this kit. Can you see the black card on the bottom row with th
