Well its' been such a long time since the retreat and I have been very slow to post Alice's gorgeous teapot swing card.  ( it uses a paper hinge, like a brad ) It was fabulous to create something with a very different construction. When I first saw this video I thought it would appeal to Alice's mathematical and precise brain so I sent it to her. OF course she didn't fail to amaze us with her creation. Since a picture paints a thousand words it's easiest to describe the method through this  video  clip which shows how it is done. I hope you can follow the link  - It's a Facebook Reel from KTCrafts. The trick is to be very careful not to adhere anything to the two flaps. In this card only the bow is adhered to the flaps so that they are hidden. It was a good way to tidy up the card front. Well hello stamping friends. I hope your New Year has begun well, and that your Christmas was enjoyable. Ours was a lovely celebration with family. I did limp to the end of the year with the usual array of too many activities and not enough time, so even though I had created this card I did  not have the energy to write it up and share it.   I created almost 150 Christmas Cards and posted around 50 so that took some energy! Thankyou to everyone for the gorgeous cards I recieved, they really did mean such a lot to me. So I am beginning 2023 "looking back to go forward" This is a great colour combination and a beautiful stampset to use... may there be much  kindness in your life in 2023.  I long ago purchased a small gift to go inside a card- it reads "Side by side or miles apart we'll always be close at heart. Brew yourself a cup of tea, I'll think of you - you think of me" I have used this thought to create a little card which contains a teabag to send to a friend. This is a small version of the pinwheel style cards and it will fit in a notecard size envelope- so the flat card is 3 x 5".   What a bright and sunny colour combination we have this week. I have a mini Pinwheel Tower card to share using this week's colours- although I did switch out Navy for Starry Sky since it coordinated with the Tea Boutique DSP better, but I think it still works well. Those of you who follow me know I love a fancy fold card.  This is the Pinwheel Tower Card which has been popular on the social sites recently, but this version is cut to Australian measurements to fit in a regular C6 Envelope. The central tower is DSP which seems to allow more flexibility and easier folding than when created from Cardstock. DSP                   1 piece         10.5 x 10.5 cm           scored at 2.5, 5, 7.5, and 10 cm and adhered along the tiny flap to form the square central tower.
