Halloween paper for All Sorts of Cards!

Who says Halloween paper has to be for Halloween cards? I recently purchased the Happy Hauntings set because I was intrigued by the orange stripe pattern shown in the catalogue behind one of the cards. I am not normally partial to orange but I am challenging myself. A few of the pages are specifically "Haunting"  types but most are just dots, stars, stripes and geometric patterns. Easy to use. We will be making two of these little Envelope Notecards in my class this weekend (and next Thursday). I still have a few spots if you would like to join in. Just get in touch with me. The card uses the envelope punch board and closes with a belly band. They are easy and different and you can make a few at a time. As you can see they are all different and quite versatile. Where there were any images that seemed too 'Haunting' I simply did what all paper crafters do with a blemish - i stuck something else over the top of it- either pape...

CTC#37 Baby

Having completely deleted by original post by accident this may be short!! Welcome to the bloghop for this week. There are so many great design ideas in the baby section and it's great to see what all the other designers have come up with.  You will have come from Monique's beautiful card using the same stamps. Be sure to check out their creations. If you get lost along the way you can find a complete list at CASEing the Catty here . I have been inspired by the packaging bag on page 35,  but have turned it into a card. I have been waiting for a set like this to come out and I'm so glad SU have created this as I am regularly asked for Baptism/ Christening cards. They are quite hard to make but this set makes it really easy. I have created both a baby boy (Marina Mist) and a baby girl (Pink Pirouette) version. The crystal buttons really set them off I think. I am also SO happy because Stampin' Up! have finally released a thick white cardstock which is perfect...

CASE-ing the Catty #7 with a Clean and Simple card for SUO#104

I love the concept of CASE-ing the Catalogue and have been keenly following the blog regularly but haven't been able to participate for a while. Have missed the deadlines too often!!!! but it has been a great exercise to examine the weekly challenge and see what I would make if I had time?.... It has also made me more aware of how few card samples are actually in this catalogue. There are loads of packaging ideas/ entertaining ideas but not that many card layouts to copy. Since the challenge from the blog is to be inspired by an image, an embellishment, a colour scheme or any other layout ideas it makes you look at the pictures differently. I also like to participate in the Stampin Up Only Challenge and this time it's a Clean and Simple card - definitely a challenge for me to not add too much! I have taken inspiration from the cushions on page 101. I love the camera image and the colour scheme so I have used Hello Honey and Island Indigo to create this Clean and Simple Card u...
