 The Softly Stipple DSP has gorgeous colours and textures. I loved using the Notes of Nature to create and abstract central circle for my feature panel. It was quite strong in colour so I simply added a layer of Vellum cut to the same size to soften it. Instructions are as for the Perennial Lavender sample. Hello and welcome to the social stamping hop for March. ...Wow How is it March already? As the year rolls on we are getting closer to the end of the Annual Catalogue , which means the launch of a brand new set of 5 In Colours and the retirement of the 5 listed for June 2019- June 2021. I will be very sad to see Pretty Peacock and Seaside Spray leave us particularly, but at the same time I am intrigued to know what the new ones might be. I have used Pretty Peacock for this week's card- a fancy fold. This is the card closed and when you open it - a wiper pops up with a decoration- in this case another butterfly. Of course there's a little stamping on the reverse, and the envelope. So we are all creating using In colours and I would like to share a Wiper Card with you.  Stampin’ Up! has always had lots of sets with butterflies- stamps, at least 4 punches, thick die plates, embossing folders, papers and thinlits. I have owned a selection but not all of these, so I was not overly excited when the news came of another butterfly set..... but then I saw some samples created by the Artisan Team and I knew I had to add them to my collection.  They are STUNNING! Here’s one of my first creations.  The large single die cuts all the stamped images at once, as well as cutting all the whole butterflies in one of the sheets of the 6x6 DSP . Individual dies cut the detailed butterflies which I have cut from vellum here. The finely textured woodgrain paper 12 x 12 is also available while stocks last. You’ll  love this set.  I love playing along with Just Add Ink- there is such variety in their challenges and this week is inspiration from a picture. This card is similar to one I shared recently using the gorgeous flowers from the Strawberry Punch. I added in some vellum and acetate elements that were sitting on my desk, but I love the addition of the pink butterfly - created with thinlits from the new Butterfly Gala suite which will be available March 2nd, they are so fine and intricate- delicate like the real thing! It's been a long tine since I played with any challenges but I always come back to Just Add Ink. This week Jan has totally inspired me with her Acetate Tent Card and I just had to CASE her. (sunflowers and all, thankyou Jan) I made both a T hinking of You card,  and a T hankyou card, and I loved the process. The tutorial is at Spilt Coast Stampers here .  But here are the measurements I used for Australia.      Cardstock      14.8 x 21     Score at 4cm, 14.5cm, 17cm and 19.5cm                              14.8 x 1.2cm to emboss for front strip     Acetate            14.8 x 10.2     DSP / shimmer white     14.8 x 10.2   After creating the sunflower card I also opted for one with the DSP inside- but what to decorate it with? Welcome back for another week at CASEing the Catty- how is it Sunday again already?? No matter, this week we are CASEing the Gingham Gala section of the Occasions Catalogue, and I was inspired by the wee butterfly card in the bottom right of our Inspo picture. I have been busy making Fancy Fold cards since my class last weekend focused on "Simple Stamping with a Fancy Fold" so this post gives me an opportunity to share a Tutorial for the Joy Fold card which was one of 4 we made. You can see some of the other tutorials on posts for recent days here, and here. This style of card has been around for a while and there are many different versions I'm sure, so this is my version (Metric). A Joy Fold card has a base card which opens right to left like a regular card (or book), and a smaller card adhered to the card base which opens left to right. The small card front sits over the top of the larger card base.- it's your basic Reef Knot-"right over left, left o...
