CI#150 august 23

Hard to believe, but colour INKspiration is #150 this week. I've been lucky enough to be part of this beautiful group since the beginning. What a lot of lovely challenges and amazing creations we've shared with you.  This week is another gorgeous combination and I have had fun lightly sponging and colouring with a mix of water colour pencils, blending brushes, and blender pens.  I have had fun creating with the Paper Florist dies. There's no right or wrong, just cut a stack of pieces and layer them up however you like. A birthday cake seems totally appropriate. We'd love to see what you create with these bright and happy colours. picture credit:  https://www.pinterest.com.au/pin/135882113751928038/ INKspired to join the challenge? It's so easy. Sweet Strawberry Punch creates beautiful shaped flowers.

It's been a little while since SU had a mini flower punch so I am so pleased to see one incorporated into the Strawberry Builder Punch.  It is a lovely shape and t coordinates with the flower in the Sweet Strawberry stampset but has multiple uses with plain or printed card or paper. Playing with new products is always fun, and I like to try and create some cards a little different from the suite- different colours and papers and uses. I used some of the gorgeous DSP from the Sand and Seas suite and my favourite card base Sahara Sand. I initially stamped the card base and most of the photos are of that version but in the end I decided it was a bit busy so I cut up the first version and remade it with a plain base -as above. The strawberry builder punch has the super cute little flower. The Calyx stamp can be snipped to create 2 sets of 2 leaves as well. You can see how I've done that in the photo below. It is easy to shape your flat punched paper flowers and give them more dimens...

Just Add Ink #203

This week It's Just add a sketch at Just Add Ink This is my take on the Sketch. I have used Basic Grey and some very old DSP which I still love . In line with my efforts to stop hoarding stuff I am trying to use up some of my treasures! The sentiment is embossed with the Pewter Embossing Powder and layered on the Silver Glimmer Paper. For the banner I used some Delicate Details lace tape and the flowers are punched with another very old product. I always like to add a little detail inside, usually a strip of the coordinating Paper from the card front. The sentiment inside says Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, from the One in a Million set. The flowers are given shape by using a soft mat underneath- I use an old Mouse mat cut down to size. With the round tip of a stylus you put pressure in the centre and then rub in gentle tiny circular motion to give the flower shape. I have layered 2 together and filled the centre with a dot of Dazzling Details glitter and a...
